Now that I am in the office, and not out of state at a tradeshow, I can look further into this.
I am going to grab a front set of springs from this latest batch and throw them in the spring tester and look further into this.
It does appear that the spring you have, RevB, is a dual rate spring. Usually when we make a dual rate spring, the initial/first rate is used simply to take up the slop to ensure the spring is mounted firmly - and that initial rate is usually not part of the working rate once installed.
I will update once I get some data.
