Hey guys, I threw a video together of my BOV change. I compared the stock BOV that comes with the Paxton/Vortech Kits to the Race valve. I hope this helps some of you guys either contemplating changing, or whether or not order right from the start. Hope it helps!

I got mine with the kit but thought it was too loud for about a week. I still have it on, and love it. I'm going down to a 3.6 pulley and a bigger fuel system so I'll need it after all.

the amount of necks broken since putting the race BOV on is immeasurable lol. With the radio on, I can only hear it faintly so I'll be keeping it for sure

Sounds cool but not sure if it would drive me mad or not on a longer trip. :D

Do we have a thread anywhere comparing the sounds from different valves as its my understanding you can get different ones, some woosh, some whistle and others flutter and some are well more or less silent.

Funny when you said if sound like a plane...the PC race valve is so loud in vacuum it drowns out the sound of the blower...sounds like some one cracked open a co2 tank and just left it on when cruising. The whistle on the bigger valve would prob drive me nuts over time.

Its pretty loud. But windows up and radio on you can barely hear it. Cruising on the highway in 6th you can't hear it at all. Now downshift into 4th around 4500 RPMs and anyone within a mile radius knows you ready to play.

Is the flutter actually an issue caused by running too much boost with that BOV and maybe resulting in some surge? Or that's how it's supposed to sound?

I'm thinking too much Boost. What I read said 8pso Max and I'm seeing 11-12. Plus air was coming back out of the air filter too when I let off
