This topic derailed quickly. I'm not sure if the OP was concerned about blindspots or overall visibility, but I'm concerned about the latter. When I had my old regular cab pickup, I felt like I was driving around in a lighthouse, there was nothing I couldn't see. When I drive around in my buddy's 2014 Camaro I feel like I'm driving around in a tank looking out of a periscope. Safety concerns and what's right/what's wrong arguments aside, I want to be able to see my surroundings with my own eyes, not just the miniature side mirrors.
I'll repeat again: in late 2010 I testdrove a Mustang and a Camaro. I picked the Mustang SOLELY because visibility out of it is infinitely better.

Hahahahahahahaha!

Oh, non-city drivers are a hoot.

So, when four lanes of traffic converge into one lane of traffic because of construction, and EVERYBODY is trying to find the tiniest eensiest little bitty bit of space between two cars next to them to move over, yes, you need to know what cars behind the car behind you are doing, to see if they're trying to jam into a break in traffic that you've already planned to use yourself.
sorry I don't live in China like you apparently do... I drive to chicago & back every day and I've never felt the need to see 10000ft behind me.

Perhaps you need to move out of NY :)

He was concerned about overall visibility before a few people wanted to share a deep dark secret about having no blind spots. I will have to agree, they are mostly reduced but are not without compromise. Anyhow I'm too tired to continue discussing mirror positions.

Lets get back OT and get some first person experience from those who have sat in the new Mustang already.

Yeah and this 2015 Mustangs side and rear windows are smaller than the 10-15s l. Its a valid concern if visibility is going to be substantially worse or not. The two trends I absolutely DESPISE in current car design is the upward sloping angle of the side crease, and the shrinking of the height of the roof while the doors get bigger and bigger. The windows keep getting smaller. And because of the slanted lines they get even smaller as you move backwards. Whoever started this high beltline trend in auto design should be shot on the spot dead.

Never happen. My ancestors got off the boat in NYC during the famine in the 1840's, and nobody in my family has lived more than 40 miles from Manhattan since (except for military service, and they all came straight back after discharge). I'm not about to be the first.

Of course, my grandfather made a living boosting cars for parts and doing repairs during the Depression before he went off to the war, so I'm a third-generation Mustang owner.

One thing nobody seems to be mentioning after they see the 15' Mustang in person is the blind spot. I ask because I was this close to buying a Camaro, but there was a gigantic blind spot over my right shoulder. So I guess what I'm asking is just how bad is the blind spot? My car is already ordered so it won't be a dealbreaker but I'm hoping it isn't worse than a Camaro.
Actually I did in the Guard Thread after sitting in the Guard Eco-Boost they had there last week.

The Tops of the Doors on this one were Hard Plastic btw as was the Center Console, but Looked Really Good. Rear Visibility is Much Better than Before. The Engine was Pretty Quiet at Idle and they didn't Rev It.

Doesnt anybody ask the logical question after seeing that picture which is: Why the fudge is there so much plastic between the rear window and the midpoint of the car? Why not follow the actual lines of an object sitting on an even height floor? I mean the windows could be two times the size! Its because of the damn upward high beltlines that you have this insanity. It makes no sense logically

[off topic]

I got out of NYC as soon as I could. lol. My great-great-grandfather came over from Italy in 1891, so not quite 1840, but five generations. I was the first in my family to leave and I'm a hero. The fam comes just shy of trading blows to decide who gets to come to visit me and when. It isn't without its drawbacks though, it's really hard finding good pizza down here.

Ok, let's not turn this into a pizza discussion, because then we'll REALLY go off the rails.

Bee bop, thanks but...every picture I've check thoughout this forum and the web in general doesn't show it in the mirrors.

There is also a post from a member stating that it is a delete with the 401A.

Which makes no sense to me because I consider it a plus option.

Here, you can clearly see it on the driver's side mirror in the last two pics of this post:

It's deleted with 401a because it's "replaced" by the blind spot warning system. I personally think that's stupid, and will be getting aftermarket mirror stick-ons.
