Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone here is going to go the blackout look? I.e. Black 5.0 side badges, front pony, rear GT. Or some combination of them if not all. You can get a pack with all of them from CJPony: http://www.cjponyparts.com/emblem-front-pony-rear-gt-fender-pair-5-0-kit-gt-2015-2016/p/EK19/

My car doesn't arrived until July but I keep flipping back and forth if I want to do it or not. I am getting a ruby red and black looks really good against it. With the black wheels it almost feels like more of the emblems should be black. But then I flip back over and think it looks too understated and I want to be able to see the running pony. :headbonk:

I'm considering just changing the 5.0 emblems over to black but then I worry it will look silly without the rest in black..

Anyone here have any pictures of their own car if they've switched any or all the emblems across?

Thoughts, opinions?

Mine is a race red w/blackout package.
Since it's an option, I guess there are many?

TBH, it looks OK to me, but if I could have saved the 1000 bucks, I would have. I think the car looks sweet with aluminum rims and spoiler delete.
I've either posted in the wrong section or you are in the wrong area lol. Not sure which one. In Australia the blackout package is not an option.

I like the blacked out look with Magnetic. Gonna try spraying the front pony with rattle cans left over from a past project, if that works I'll do the same with the side badges. For the back I'm going to get the blank deck lid for the de-badged look

Oh and the UPR badges are real cheap http://www.hypermotive.com/upr-products-5-0-emblem-black-15-mustang-gt/

Also has anyone changed over the wheel nuts to black ones? It looks a lot better with some aftermarket black ones against the PP wheels. Chrome seems a bit silly on them. $65usd from Cjpony http://www.cjponyparts.com/gorilla-lug-nut-kit-factory-style-bulge-black-chrome-2015-2016/p/WHLLN20/
see the what did you do today thread for my car with the black wheel nuts. I've also gone the blackout look for the badges. Got mine from Mak performance. I like the blackout look.

Go the blacked out. It will look awesome. The only place I don't like the black out is on the front pony emblem. My GT will be black so mine will stay chrome but the black out looks great on other colours

Got the blank deck lid from Ford Performance, black sides and 1.5 front Ponies (one has a tab broken off so I got a replacement), I'm yet to order black reflectors/lights for the rear bottom weird orange side light things, but I probably will...

Planned to put them on Black 'Stang but might save some for Orange - the CO looks nice blacked out.

As much as it depends on the individual, I also think it depends on the colour.
To me, magnetic looks great blacked out but needs to keep the chrome pony, unless you're gonna go bronze (something I'm toying with).
CO probably doesn't need the chrome to lift the car - it's COMPETITION ORANGE!!!
I do like the blackout 5.0 badges rather than plastidip because the red dot ties in nicely with the red on the Brembos and rear side marker light if you choose to swap them out...
Honestly, if you're driving a CO or TY car, people won't be noticing the finer details.
Just some thoughts for consideration.
I wouldn't sweat stuff like this. You can't go too far wrong.
If however, you were gonna strap the biggest, most ridiculous FO wing that money can buy, to the rear of your car, THEN we need to talk. :paddle:
