you can also ask for the oasis report on the vehicle to see the ford service history. All mine showed was a left sun visor replacement. But it's good to have for your records.

Just took it in and got it topped off. Apparently last time I was in they already started a case with ford performance. They put in 1.75 quarts after 800 miles since last top off. Waiting to hear from Ford Performance to see what they are going to do.

Dealership called today. Ford authorized a new motor. Said it maybe a week or two to come and and a week to install. Good job too, because I burnt through another quart in 200 miles this weekend.

A week to install? Mine took a day to pull old engine and install new engine. They then kept it for a second day to test it and check for leaks etc.

I am looking to buy a 19 this summer and one of my main concerns is finding a dealership that can do quality work if needed.

It’s okay, I don’t mind waiting the extra time. It’s their loaner and to be honest I’m usually out of town during the week anyways. These guys have done two other replacement motors already.

Do you know it they did a leak down test and/or borescope? Be interested in knowing which cylinders failed.

They haven’t done either yet. I’m assuming maybe they will do something when replacing the engine, although I’m not sure. All they did was oil consumption test. Basically top it off to twelve quarts and come back in a thousand miles to have it checked. I came back early as it was burning that much. I had it topped off on Friday and just checked it last night and I’m down a quart after driving 200 miles on sat and Sunday.
