Today I decided to install the black running pony on my grill because I hate chrome. Prior to purchasing, I watched Bill from CJ Pony Parts install which looked like a pain in the ass but very doable.
For a $50 part, the set pins could be made to take a little pressure - I think they are made of black toothpicks. Well, all of them busted off trying to get those washers that hold the pony to the grille in place.
To make matters even worse, I dropped the damn thing and one of the pony's feet snapped off - so I am now in the process of gluing this piece of turd back together and using 3M tape to secure it to the grille.
And the icing on the cake, the wife says (and she knows I am already pissed) "Every modification you have done lately you have broken, lost nuts / washers, etc.". Maybe its a hint... Ehh, women, who says you can't live without em?
