Well I know for quite a few of you guys, Bilt Hamber Touchless isn't a new phenomenon. I recently broke down and bought a 1 liter bottle to try. I was a wimp and didn't want to figure out those fancy PIR numbers so my first use of the product was in my IK Pro 12 sprayer. I mixed up at 1% by putting 2 gallons of Distilled water in it (256 OZ) and then put 2.5 oz of touchless. I then proceeded to hook up my small battery powered bicycle pump and went to the spray and pray wash on a VERY cold day. Like hovering around freezing. I soaked down my daily driver with it best I could being so cold, then revved up the quarters and got started rinsing. Got about 1/2 the car rinsed and the wash petered out on me. OH SHIT. So I booked it over to another stall and fed the meter again. It fired up and I was able to get thru the wash. While it did clean really well, I had some spotting and streaking so I was gun shy to try again for a while.

Fast forward a few weeks, it warmed up into the 50's and I had my pressure washer back out and I was like what the heck, I got one of my trusty PF22.2 canons and decided to dedicate it to Touchless. I did the whole fill up the bucket procedure, then took a sharpie and wrote the dilution numbers on the side of the bottle. I wrote 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%. Found that 1% needs 160 Mil to a full canon....

Fast forward to today. I went and ran all day yesterday, and today, started with a relatively clean car, yesterday was a beautiful day, today was nice, but when we went up and over the mountain from TN in to NC, it got super foggy, drizzly, rainy. Needless to say, my car got absolutely filthy. Got home and I was like what the hey, lets try that touchless again. Mixed up a foam canon full at 1%, hosed down all 4 wheels with ADS wheel cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes, then I proceeded to empty the entire foam canon on the car, wheels and all. HOLY COW, the car was absolutely the most filthy I have ever seen it, but the touchless, coupled with the wheel cleaner on the wheels did an amazing job.. So satisfying seeing the river of gunk running off, especially the bleeding wheels... :)

Sorry for my long winded post, just thought I would share, if you are on the fence about Bilt Hamber Touchless, it is amazing.

Oh, and all I did at the end was do a full on DI rinse, then took my blower and blew it off. Thats it. I was completely amazed...

Like it never happened... Sorry, I was too ashamed of the filth, I didn't get any before pictures.

No ppf. Ceramic coated, yes. Wheels, glass, and paint. CARPRO Cquartz UK 3.0 on the paint, ADS Glass coating on the glass, and Gyeon Q2 Rim on the wheels, coating is almost a year old, topped with CARPRO Hydr02 pretty much every wash (wheels) and ADS Amplify on the paint. Had PPF on it when I bought it, but it was cheap precut stuff and the edges weren't wrapped and it was lifting and getting junk under the edges, so I removed it, and the stripes while I was at it. Then polished and coated it.

Car looks great from that one pic! I'm just now getting into the serious paint care game. The 2018 Royal Crimson car I bought needed some fairly serious paint correction. I had the hood replaced and paint correction done on the rest. Holding off any coatings until spring to give the paint a full cure. I want to DRIVE the car. I also want to be prepared to keep it in as good a shape as I can. Your experience gives me some great food for thought.

My truck had some road film on it and instead of BH I went with KC AF….that was dumb. AF foams up great but doesn’t work very well at stripping grime off of the surface. I should’ve just went with Touch-less lol.

AF is a great soap, but a contact soap in my experience. It is nice and slick and cuts grime pretty good if used as a contact wash. I use it on wheels in my wash bucket all the time. I alternate between it and P&S Frostbite. It is super slick too, and has a bit of PH behind it, about like AF...

Thank you, I try my best to keep it clean, but I do drive mine and enjoy it. I always say half the fun is making the mess (drive hard) and the other half is cleaning up the mess ( I LOVE detailing) :). Mine is pretty swirly in places, I didn't perfect the paint, just glossed it up pretty good, but the fighter jet grey hides it pretty well.

Holy smoke, Alex..there was some serious iron contamination on those wheels! I've never seen that much red myself..how long had it been since your last iron remover application?

Last week, maybe weekend before, I can't remember. She was put up for over a week and a half. :) BUT, I DROVE the CHIT out of her yesterday and today :) I put about 400 miles on her this weekend. I use ADS wheel pretty much every full contact wash.

Well all I can say is your brakes put out a ton of iron, Alex or at least it seems like it to me. Were you doing any heavy braking during that 400 miles?
Oh yeah. Did several mountain passes aggressively. Part of the joy of owning this car and living in the mountains of East TN. :)
