My mistake for not knowing the only way to change a cars balance is by by changing the tire width and that springs and bars have far less effect on changing a cars balance. Sounds like the logic of amateurs :headbonk:
Ha. I missed out today because I went to the track. The damn car was a little pushy so I just put some small tires on the back and it drifted out fine. :D

Do I understand this correctly?

So the "Billy Johnson Setup" is to mount Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 295/30ZR19 on the front rim of 11" and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 305/30ZR19 on the rear rim 11.5"? Do I have that correct? Reason I am asking I have ordered a 2018 Ruby Red R and was looking at street wheels in the form of these: https://project6gr.com/introducing-new-project-6gr-custom-finish-brushed-red-widow/ 11" in front and 11.5" in rear.

I was originally going to put on factory spec the Michelin Sport Cup 2s in the stock R configuration on the above street rims but with all I have read in these forums perhaps not the smartest idea? So looking for alternatives and now advice. Go easy on me I am newish around here.

Save the OEM Sport Cup 2s for the OEM R wheels and use those on the track. For the street, yes, go with the 295/305 on the 6GR spec wheels.

I have a friend who replaced his Cup2s with PS4S on his OEM R wheels and he's very happy with them. He said the typical tramlining is pretty much gone.

Dumb question but I tried to find the answer, we are talking 295/35 and 305/35 correct? Not 295/305/30.

The above thread got me thinking. I had previously purchased a set of OEM MPSS. So I asked Billy, OEM MPSS vs the new PS4S and his answer was once again real specific. Long story short, the OEM MPSS is a bespoke tire made specifically for the GT350 with the PS4S having better wet grip but not surpassing the OEM MPSS in dry grip. SO! I am mounting the MPSS and will continue to do so. The MPSS have a very wide rim range and will fit the R spec wheels very well. The OEM MPSS on an R wheel or R spec wheel will have a front 12.1 tread width and rear 12.5 vs the 11.9/12.3" on the GT350 wheel.

Good info. Can't argue with him but did he really say to run an OEM MPSS on an R wheel? Tire rack has (3) 295/35-19s that range from 10" to 10.3" tread widths, all of which seem too narrow for a 11" R-wheel. BTW -do we know which one is the OEM tire?

Tire Rack only has (1) 305/35-19 at 10.7" which seems okay (slightly stretched) for a 11.5" R wheel -based on the MotoIQ tire sizing article.

How are you guys liking the MP4S?

I want to run these on a 19s front / 20s rear. I have the shitty pirelli p zeros and im not going to take them off the stock rim, so now im looking for wheels too.

According to Tirerack, OEM MPSS have tread width of 10"/10.7". They are too narrow for 11"/11.5" of R spec wheels.

PS4S of 295/305 are a better fit as they have tread width of 11.1"/11.5".

Actually rim width range front is 10-11.5 and rear 10-12

I think you guys are pulling up a regular MPSS and not the GT350 MPSS.

Actually rim width range front is 10-11.5 and rear 10-12. The tread width you stated is correct but on an R spec wheel will measure 10.2 and 10.9" accounting for the wider rim.
