Problem is I dont really know how to understand the tire size . I hear bigger in the back is nice ..but how big will the stock 2017 mustang fit
Thanks alot for the reply. And this would be the same for a 2017 mustang?Widest without breaking the bank with special wheels, is really a 325 rear (on 19" wheels) when using 19X11" wheels with 50-56 mm offset. I have 325's on mine.
Wheel fitment is the same from 2015-2020 non-GT350/500 models. On these cars, it's best to keep the diameter the same front to back, but you can stagger the widths (9.5 front, 11 rear, for example), or go with a square setup -same width front and back. Thanks alot for the reply. Also if I did the 19 in the back , should I do the same or smaller in the front you think?
Yes, 2015-20 rears are all the same fitment wise. You will need to go narrower in the front, but I wouldn't go smaller diameter. 19X10 35 mm offset is a very common front size, and usually used with 275 or 285 tires. Thanks alot for the reply. And this would be the same for a 2017 mustang?

325's fit fine in back, I assume the PP2 has the different liners in front. 305's are very wide for fronts.I will say this, if the 2018+ GT PP2 complain of tramlining with a 19x10.5 ET24 wheel with 305/30R19 tires on the front, I would think twice about going too big on the front.
Just for FYI, the PP2 uses 19 x11 ET48 wheels and 305/30R19 tires on the back.
I did hear it has some special accommodations on wheel well liners to get these to fit but I do not recall if that was front or back.
Well not necessarily. I always believe in getting supporting mods first. Like I would get half shafts before getting my supercharger. Also getting wider tires will only help you, even on a stock set up and improve the look. My car is stock and struggles to gain traction from a dig.I suggest you do your FI upgrade first and THEN worry about big tires. Until that time you don't need them on a stock setup.
There is a TON of 411 on this topic. Try doing some research.
