My 2015 white PP Gt has 14mm wheels studs. My 2010 were 1/2". That is a significant increase in stud size. The lug nuts look huge with the tapered part a lot bigger and you uses a 21mm socket to get them off unlike the 19mm used on the s197. Note it is possible this is only on the PP car I haven't checked. It is also possible this will prevent any s197 wheel from working or why Ford only offered the PP with one wheel. In any case they look very nice beefy and much stronger than the 1/2". Many questions left to answer.

I wonder if that is true just for the GT PP or if its the same on non-PP GT's or EB's

Another member posted the new specs for the wheel studs but I can't remember where they were posted. FYI my 2011 uses a 21mm socket for the lug nuts.

That is probably right I forgot I changed my lug nuts so early on.

I would bet so but I cannot confirm. Would be silly for Ford to waste money having different sized wheel studs for various models.
That logic would mean there isn't anything different on the PP cars. Sorry that doesn't compute.

Huh? Why would the PP need different wheel studs? Every S197 from a base V6 to the 662hp GT500 had the same wheel studs. Only the Boss racecars got bigger studs.

Because. The PP is not your average upgrade. I am not saying it does I am saying your assuming it doesn't help. Show me proof not guess's.

Wow. Arguing about wheel studs?

Glad I'm normal.

Performace pack is a average ""upgrade"

Has anyone changed their M14 x 1.5 wheel studs to something different?

I'm finding it extremely difficult to find lug nuts that look good on staggered, small 1" diameter aftermarket wheels with the stock studs. It seems there are more offerings out there if the studs were M12's.
