Wondering how this would look, I have a brand new set of MP4S in stock 255/275 size and I'm looking at a set of wheels I really like thats on sale for 4th of July, I can get them either 19x9.5 square or 9.5/10.5. I know the 255/275 technically fit the bigger rims and the MP4S run really wide to begin with, would this look too dumb? Like stretched? I don't really want to get rid of 600 mile tires.

I moved my stock 255 tires to 9.0 but they told me I could move them to 9.5 just fine. My oem wheels was 19x8.5 so I went 19x9.0 but yeah they told me 9.5 would of been fine as well. I just went half the distance. Mine in 19x9.0 VOXX replicas (use same center cap, but smaller gorilla lug nuts) and powder coated. lol 150 each, couldnt complain myself.

I dont think 9.5 would look too stretched as 9.0 doesn't.

Ask discount tire call, they was more than helpful to me.

OEM GT350s run a stretched look as they come from Ford. Nothing wrong with it, and you’ll have the wide wheels you want for the next set of tires. If the tire manufacturer says they’ll fit, go for it. MP4S have thick rim protectors, they’ll look fine.

255 on 9.5" is perfectly fine and a nice, small stretch for handling/response. Do the square setup :)

Was thinking on this as well. Can i go up a little bit further further on a 10" rim for the 255?

Yes you can. Specs say 10” is the max for that tire.

I did it with the stock Pirelli's, (255's on 10 inch wheels) did not look good at all. Big gap between the tire and edge of the rim. Ended up getting new tires.
Yeah I'm not moving to that big plus the MP4S are probably an inch wider than the pirellis are. They're very fat for the size they claim to be.

A while back I ran the stock PP rubber on my first set of 10" and 11" wheels, No issues, just a little stretched. Handled great, but a good chunk of that could be attributed to the drop and cradle lockout I did at the same time. I figured I might as well burn them up since they had plenty of life left in them at the time.....

Max recommended wheel width for the 255 is 10", max on the 275 is 11"....

Ok well I pulled the trigger on the wheels. Couldn't resist a set of forgestars for $800 shipped from AM. I love the CF5 design with only 5 spokes for easy cleaning, they're 19x9.5 +29 according to forgestar.

Should fit quite excellent.
