Always have used Lund Racing and never had any issue with drivability, even on our s550 with 850rwhp.

I didn't realize you had to use a laptop to datalog with the x4. That may easy for a tech savvy guy, but it sounds a bit complicated to me. Especially when compared to logging with the ngauge.
Side note...when would you need to perform a crank relearn? Is this ever necessary when swapping tunes?
That's what I'm going through now. My Lund tune is feeling too jerky.I have a nGauge w/ Lund tune. If I had to do it over I would have went X4 and likely VMP or AED. Not a big fan of the nGauge being locked to one tuner. I had reservations going in for that very reason, but with the praise Lund gets on here I took the chance. WOT is fine on the tune, part throttle felt better stock. Lund tune too jerky for me.
Honestly, I'm not sure. I was asked to do it a couple times when datalogging with Shaun. The ngauge datalogs with the push of one button on the device. Once a log is complete, you can either remove the sd card from the device and plug it into your pc, or download it from the device to your pc using a micro usb cable. There is no software or additional drivers needed.
This is how I understand it anyway. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
It a crank relearn is neede each time a tune is loaded and the ngauge does not perform this...is there an extra step in missing?
Don't you guys partner with Lund? I'm not saying he sucks, but you guys do have a business relationship. I can't imagine you'd post on this thread agreeing with the jerkiness or flat midrange comments.Always have used Lund Racing and never had any issue with drivability, even on our s550 with 850rwhp.
The car jumps rich when it does it, then goes back into stoich. I pointed it out on the log and was told "looks normal". Sent one log on pump, one of E85. No revisions, said looked good other than some knock up top, try better fuel (on the pump log). That's what I'm going through now. My Lund tune is feeling too jerky.
This is my reservation as well. Seems 90% of lund/ngauge guys report they send their logs to Lund and are always told it looks fine. Maybe they really are that good? Or is this like when you know something is wrong with your car but the dealer tells you it's 'normal' because they either don't know what's wrong or don't want to put forth the effort to find out?The car jumps rich when it does it, then goes back into stoich. I'll go ahead and say it, if the initial tune is the final tune with no revisions, what separates that from a canned tune? I think Lund is really dependent on whom you get as your "tuner". John jr and sr definitely know their shit, but some of the other guys I am not sure of.
You have aftermarket headers, right? What brand?OK I discovered I am getting this noise from my right hand side cat area:
Seems loudest around the flexi joint, like dried peas in a tine or metal filings in a tin.
Could this cause my false knock? Am guessing cat is failing or an internal weld has come lose and is inside exhaust pipe.
No they are stock! You have aftermarket headers, right? What brand?
