Does anyone have instructions in pdf or a link they can share here? I assume the car has to be level when replacing fluid and would need to free hand roll the rear wheels in neutral to remove trapped air from the trans

There is always air in the transmission from the fill hole to the top of the box.

Call me crazy but I believe that the people that design, build and warranty the car and its components know more than I do, therefore I simply use what they say to use.
The number one thing the engineers are looking for is MPG. So they spec the thinnest oil that will get the car through warranty.

As long as it is a GL4 or less oil it is fine in the manual trans. Do your own diligence on this. I think it is the GL5 oils that corrode brass and the 4 oils do not. The syncro rings are brass or some alloy with brass in it.
