Do any of you have experience with the SportComp 2 on the Mustang or similar cars?

I had them on my GTI and loved them - probably 98% as good as the Dunlop tires that came on the car, but much cheaper and longer lasting. My only complaint was noise, but I can live with that.

But I know a tire that works well on a 250hp fwd car isn't necessarily a good fit for a rwd car with 400+hp and some extra weight. I'm just trying to figure out if these are a good option for someone who still wants decent grip without paying the price for PSS or something like that.

I have two friends who auto-x with Comp-2's and they love them both for performance and longevity. Talking hundreds of runs and thousands of street miles and still plenty of life left. I'm considering them to replace the Conti DW I have on my car now, for a 275/40/19 they are in the $200-215 price range compared to $235ish for the Conti and $290-300 for Michelin Super Sports.

Very good tires, but depending on the size they are out of stock right now in 275/305 20" fitment = /

Thanks to everyone for the input. I'm leaning heavily towards the 19" VP5s in gunmetal (or is it graphite?) with these tires.

I just replaced my rear p zeros with these. I'm definitely happy with the purchase. I haven't noticed any degradation in the ride quality. And they have plenty of grip
