I just got my Mustang about 8 months ago and I’m looking to get a tune in the future but I have no idea what/who the “best” tuners are.

Mods done so far:
ford performance by borla cat back (M-5200-M8SBV)
Air lift performance 3p

Mods coming(open to suggestions):
Pmas CAI (N-MT13-2)
Throttle body??

Lund\PBD\AED\Wengerd are all pretty good tuners.

I'd skip the PMAS and maybe get their new one that goes down into the fender or stick with a 2018+ closed box intake with a drop in filter.
2018+ or GT350 intake manifolds are both really good.

Everyone is going to give you a different answer on this based off what they have personally dealt with however, I've used both Lund and PBD for my personal vehicles in the past and you really won't be able to tell the difference between them as long as the time/effort is put into the tune. We sell both and if you need, I can help you out making the decision if you want to shoot me a PM anytime. Lethalperformance.com

Thank you for the input! Do you have a link for the CAI you’re talking about?

I also had a question about how to make a Cobra Jet intake manifold work with an auto 6 speed trans, any tips?

I’m tuned with Lund with a GT350 CAI/Intake Manifold/87mm throttle body. Chose this setup since I like to hang in the higher rpm range during my spirited driving. I love it and tuning and data logging was easy with my nguage. Lund responded quickly to my emails as well so I think their customer service was good. Hope that helps and best of luck on your setup as well.

There’s usually someone listing one for sale on the forum if you’re willing to pay to play. Just gotta keep a close eye out for them since they go quick. No prob though.

Nice mods you’re contemplating. I have the PMAS (no tune required version) on my Bullitt and I’m happy with it. I thought about upgrading to the in-fender version that is supposed to be released at some point, although not sure when, but I think I’m good with what I have. If you get a Cobra Jet intake manifold, you might consider the angled silicone coupler which connects the intake tube to the throttle body. If there’s any chance you might be tempted to get headers, I would do all mods at once before you tune, so you don’t have to pay for tune revisions if you add things later.

Auto Mafia Racing is great for the tune also. They communicate well and have good pricing too. Their feedback like the more known brands speaks to the work that they do. They use SCT for the tuning device, which could be a + or - for some but I have no issues.

Is E85 an option you're considering? Having a Gen 2 like you, if I were to do it over maybe I'd do injectors with a flex tune first and then add on from there. E85 may give you the most outside of headers if keeping it more simple. I'd follow that up with the manifold, then headers. Not sure the CAI is adding much and all that I read on here is that the throttle body wont really do anything.

Welcome and have fun. Lucky you're in better weather!
i'd do more research there. whether you buy a lund from us or not, there are many other options that i would go long before heading over that direction.

have you seen the hiring ads.

duites include "answering the phone, porting, tuning....."

Can you provide some details around your stance and message? I'm speaking from my experience which has been good, but it sounds like you or people you know have had different experiences with them.
one of my part time employees used to work for them so i have the full scoop, he begged me for a job because he didn't want his name associated with them.

and you can go on facebook and find tons of horror stories

and again, some of the ads they have posted online for hiring read.

"Duties Include, answering phones, porting, tuning" .... that says it all right there.

again, do your research. IMO. I prefer Lund. but...i would recommend at least 20 other tuners i could find before heading that direction. log and verify and log more..

I’m Lund tuned 93, flex and E-85. Each tune in my opinion is spot on for my car. Had great customer service and quick turn around on my tunes. I can’t speak for other tuners cause have no experience with them. Good luck with your choice.
