I'm running a 19x9.5" square on 285/35's. Think I'll up to a 40 height next round on either MPSS or DWS 06's
I wouldn't.

And in terms of MPSS's or DWS06's, there is 100% NO comparison. The MPSS's will devastate the DWS06's. That's an all season tire...

What exactly wouldn't you do? I'm interested in getting 275/40 and would love to know if 40 is any kind of problem. Or is it going to another tire?

Sorry, but you versus the Ford engineers - I pick their decision as being more trustworthy.
They did that to keep people who didn't know how to drive their shiny new 435+ hp cars from swapping ends and slamming into a wall.

Amazing tires, easily my favorite that I've driven outside of R compounds. Very easy to drive at the limit too. Not cheap tho and longevity is short, but for back roads and sunshine they're really good.

Also the Rival-S is similar and I think those come in 18".

Their literally like a NT01 tire 200 treadwear and acts like 100 treadwear..... I love it !

Wouldn't for what? I'm already running a 285/35r19 tire. And I know the MPSS are better, however I like to take trips up to North Carolina during the winter time, which with the MPSS being a summer tire I worry about their traction and safety if it's snowing.
