I made a post in the stick shift coyote page on fb recently asking for a faster stick shift time on a stock motor.

Anyone in here have some quick times? I know of one car that has gone quicker.

This was done on the street. Stock Gen 2 motor.

Beautiful ride and cool setup!

This is great! And 4.6's is the performance levels I am hoping for...I see in your sig that you list high 700's at 10 psi - at 12 psi which it seems where you ran the 4.6 - and then 16 psi. I am guessing you are in the low 800's range at 12 psi? and 900ish at 16 psi? Any 60-130 times from those psi? Some others were listed 6 second 60-130's and I found that off. I have a Gen V setup that should make high 800's to mid 900's and I am guessing I should be in a similar range as a previous non-Mustang setup ran high 3's to mid 4's based on my psi. That said - it was a turbo setup and I am wondering if I am looking at different numbers because of the different FI setups.

No the 4.6 was over 16 psi. 12 psi is only low 800s for me, and that is more likely in the high 5s area.

Realistically I think it takes at least 900hp to get into the 4.x range. Keep in mind that it's a little tougher to run that in a manual than in an auto and it'lll also be harder to do that on the street vs the track.

To be honest with you, even in the 10 speed which is what I'm guessing you have, I don't think you'll hit 3s at all in a stock motor supercharged car (if you do that'll be a very high boost glory pass). I know the midnight turbo cars that have ran 3.x stock motor are well over 1000 hp.

I believe your setup around 850-900 will get you low 5s, high 4s optimistically.

Thanks Alec - and I hear you. You are correct - I have an A10. And I agree with you. I was running 3.8-4.2 at about 1000 whp on my other setup. 850-900 whp ran anywhere from low 5's to I believe a mid-high 4. I would be happy to touch a four at 900ish whp. I was confused by some of the times I saw (low 6's, mid 6's) and maybe didn't understand their setups or misread their power levels. I think your numbers are bang on - and for a manual - that is a super cool and quick setup that will both cause surprise and hurt some feelings lol!

Honestly 6s really isn’t bad for a boosted car. I would say the majority of boosted mustangs live around that range.

I will answer that as stating I would prefer at least mid 5's lol. I have been fortunate to come out of some fairly quick builds - and although I am not expecting to match a career best 2.95 - I think with 900/high 800's if not low 900's to mid 900's (pending safety for my stock engine) - I should see mid 5's to high 4's respectively. At least I hope so - especially with the A10.

I'm a 5.7 at 14 psi on my MT82 Whipple car. 4008lbs it weighs with me in it and that was in 3700DA. A 10 speed car would probably be a 5.1 - 4.9 at 14psi :frown:

I see 4s in your future. Was that pass with a built motor already?

Yeah the car is def in the 4s with a faster shift. That was with the built motor, 19-20 psi of boost. Im guessing the car is making somewhere in the 1000 wheel range. I have a stage 3 mt82 now and im going to throw a little more boost at it, hoping for mid 4s. Our da is trash here, 5k+ most of the time.
