Best Reason For a Dashcam

For myself, a dash cam is a no-brainer.

You never know what'll happen on the road and on any given moment thinks can go south.

I feel a lot better driving now that I have my dash cam (front and rear).

For a few hundred bucks, I would say this is probably the best thing I've added to my car.

Btw good choice on the cam, very sleek and small, which was what I wanted.

Along with the rear facing camera you should probably mount a Claymore where the GT emblem is on your deck lid panel just in case he ends up tailgating you again. That should fix the situation pretty quick (and make for some great footage).

I have been going back and forth about adding it for a while now and other things (not car related) kept coming first. This was enough that I said screw it and bought it anyway.

Damn OP that situation is terrifying. The guy was running lights to keep on your tail too; that would definitely freak me out. Unpredictable drivers/assholes like the one following you make dashcams pay for themselves.

The Blackvue Dashcam is the first "mod" I'm putting on my car when it arrives. I'm even going to ask my dealer to install it before pickup (not sure if they will though). This is the most expensive investment I've ever made and FL drivers/people are crazy so it's a necessity.

Wow. Wtf? Reading the OP post almost pissed me off. Can't believe people are that freaking stupid. I mean wtf? Had an impatient girl tailgating the hell out of me too in traffic the first week I got my car. Can't even express how much that pissed me off. I even kept scooting up at the red light and she kept scooting up with me.

When she finally speeded up around me, she was one of those girls that sit 2" away from the steering wheel with her phone in her other hand.

My dash cam is sitting on the counter at my place. That's the first thing I'm installing when I leave Detroit and head back home.

I need to reinstall my dash cam. I had it in my truck but removed it when I traded it in and never put it back in. I also carry every day all day but would never pull it unless they come up to my car aggressively. Other than that you're just asking for a brandishing charge. Our gun laws here are pretty relaxed though thankfully.

My wife and I are both looking at getting our concealed carries but have not done so yet. Either way it would not have changed the outcome of this event. The guy either had something to prove or just hates mustangs. I'm intrigued as to what he thinks he caught on video to send to the cops though. But finally gave me a reason enough to get a dash cam so something good came of it.

I encourage everyone to get their concealed and use it! It might seem silly to some people that you carry every day but the one time someone does something stupid you'll be glad you were...
