mine went up a tonne with admiral but i have that stupid rear ended shunt against me for another what 4 years? 5 yrs one has to say about non fault accidents ?
tbh when i looked online December gone there, no one was that much better if at all and Admiral / Ford insure dont require me to have it garaged every single night though i would have to tell them if it was left outside more often than garaged.

Had this battle in December. Annoyingly they are still cheapest by a large margin compared to where else I've looked (mainly via comparison sites). Also benefit from the multi car discount and home insurance with them too.

Greenlight sounded promising as they can give 10-15% being a member of a car club but they require an aftermarket immobiliser/tracker and that it self doesn't give you any discount, so they weren't able to give me quote.

Adrian Flux for me. The problem with admiral etc is they cover mods but unless specified, not like for like, specialist all the way for a modded car.

I'd wager most OEM parts cost more than the aftermarket equivalent no?

If bought from Ford UK. The lead times may also be a lot longer than just shipping it straight from the US. I remember seeing a Bullet in my local garage sat there for 6-8 months waiting on parts.

I was recently speaking to a garage and they said if you buy a part that's identical on 2 cars for example Porsche and VW, the Porsche part will be hugely more expensive but if you fit the VW part, despite it being identical, will not be covered by warranty if it fails.

Possibly some but certainly not all, but if you have mods wouldn’t you want them replaced rather than an insurer instructing the repairer to fit oem parts?

Well in days of yore one could get a quote for the OEM parts and they'd pay out cash for those parts which one could then get replacement aftermarket items fitted.
Or one would get the car repaired elsewhere for example a specialist garage not on the insurers list and then submit a claim for the parts.

I admit I've never had to get aftermarket parts replaced so I've never tested the theory however I was told by Admiral no less, that they'd only pay out for the OEM replacement part prices versus source and replace the aftermarket parts.

Tbh it's a risk we take modifying cars

A lot of people have success with Howden. Also I use Lockton Performance because they cover London and many don't.

My EcoBoost renewal through Adrian Flux is coming up at £1,300 with all mods declared and up to 10,000 miles per year.

If I just do a simple comparison site search without mods it comes up at £960.

Problem is, I don't want to spend ages on the phone to another company going through all the details to get only a slightly lower quote.
