It’s a 69 Mach 1 with a 428 Cobra Jet motor with Shaker hood. I actually contemplated putting a Coyote in it, but that would be stupid of me because the value of this particular one is that motor! They go for about $60-65K restored

I want to get a 1969 Mach 1 428 cobra jet 4 speed car someday. 1969 is the best year for the Mustang.

Thanks . Heads are GT 350 with ford racing cams.Short block is a CP Voodoo with stronger rods .

I was going to put it in my KB car but decided against but will be swapping in a different 5.2 long block that is sleeved for the current one (also sleeved )
Staying the same stock CR as the one coming out which is 11:1
Motor coming out is a 5.2 but with GT heads . It’s lifting the heads and blowing coolant everywhere .
Motor going in also has GT 350 heads /ford racing cams but has a bored out and sleeved coyote short block .

I was keeping this one as a “spare “ CP option for the GT 350 but come to think of it. It would be a nice “spare” for the predator.

Lol

I have several (coyote based )engines sitting in my storage and considering swapping one of them into a Cobra kit car.

May even something like this “vintage “ - don’t know what year- I parked next to the other day

Can you tell the year/model of the one parked next to my 18 ?

I’ll make ya a deal obspsd...$50k for you. It’s original drivetrain and paint, but someone swapped the 4 speed for an automatic based on the Marti Report

I would love to find something like this , already built(don’t have the patience to build one) just waiting for an engine . Perfect color too .

I think they weigh like 2000 lbs too. Imagine how fast it would be with CPC 5.2 (the 5.2 XS rated 580 )plus al title boost via the 2.3 edelbrock

I may even consider putting my “spare” Voodoo in it and keep it NA.

Or keep it “simple “ and use a sleeved 5.0 and top mount TT

Definitely a '68, the dead giveaways from that particular photo angle is the rear quarter side marker light ('67s don't have them) and the lack of the two fake vents in the quarter panel 'cove' right behind the door (which the '67s have).
