I'm going to need new front pads after another track day or two in my 17 R. My dealer quotes $352 for front pads and $188 for rear pads, parts only! Presuming the R and base 350 have the same pads, it looks like they are quite a bit cheaper online ($247 and $132, and I can install myself): https://www.lethalperformance.com/f...2017-2018-shelby-gt350-ford/brakes/brake-pads

Does anyone have any suggestions elseware to look for oem R pads? I presume the part numbers are: FMC-FR3Z-2001-L and FMC-FR3Z-2200-E . I really like the OEM pads, they've worked great on track and made zero noise on the street (and I cannot stand the brake squeal of many aftermarket track pads).

Also, does anyone have the minimum thickness rating for the oem R rotors before replacement is needed?

Thanks!

ETA: https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/Ford_2015_Mustang/Brake-pads-FRONT-PADS/64863113/FR3Z2001L.html -- Looks like other ford dealers sell them online for much cheaper than my dealer quoted as well. Wonder if they would just price match for me and install. My dealer charged me $125 for an oil change in the R, was literally $12.80 for labor, so I'm fine not getting dirty if the labor price is right too.

Autonation Ford White Bear Lake sells front pads for $185+ shipping. Minimum rotor thickness is printed directly on the rotors itself.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
I get $ 214.50 for front pads and $112.84 for rear pads at Autonationwhitebearlake, unless I am missing an additional discount. That's where I buy and they come very quickly.

For me personally, I would do brakes myself.

Also, sorry to add to your list but youre going to want these.

Order your oil and filter from Rock auto. Oil is currently $7.14/qt, and if you have the spin on filter like I do, it's $13.

Stud kits are better than new bolts, calipers wIll loose threads on third pad R&R. Get Studs. (Remember, bolts are use once).

Stud kit is the best little mod you can do this car. Makes taking off the caliper a breeze and no wear on your spindle.
