What works best to spread the calipers ?

Or just use a c-clamp ? I’ve never changed brembo pads before.

If you can find a “good” deal on one, the Girodisc pad spreader is the way to go on the 6 piston Brembos. I picked up a slightly used tool for ~$125 i beleive - very pricey but very effective.

I used my thumbs. Seemed to work pretty well. Or a screw driver if you carefully apply pressure on the ring portion of the piston, going from side to side so you don't bind it up.

I usually just use a pair of C clamps.

I got this, and based on the width, it should be enough to get all 6 done. Works like a charm for the base GT 4 pistons which is a larger overall caliper and similar pad size.
Are you running two bleed hoses and cracking both fittings?

I bled afterwards with the new pads on, MC reservoir cap was off when using this.

I use channel locks and large flat screwdrivers. If the calipers have a nice painted finish I'll put a rag or fold up some paper beneath the channel locks to protect the finish but otherwise no special tools necessary. Especially if you are only replacing the pads you can just remove one at a time, no need to press out both sides at the same time.

Old brake pad and C clamp. Never had an issue on any type of push in caliper piston using this method.

I always bleed afterward as well.

I just can't make myself push the dirtiest fluid in the system back toward the ABS HCU for any reason.

Probably a good idea, though I was doing a full flush anyway.
