A couple posts back I mentioned what I used to clean my car generally. I dont usually take it through a wash and no matter how dirty it is, I usually just use the Waterless Wash and then go back over it with the Detail Spray again.

The two products I use most:

Here's what it typically looks like after washing with these two. I must have had a couple collections of water inside the trunk area from the rain before I cleaned it with these two. These are just some quick iPhone shots.

This one gives a little glimpse at the Diode Dynamics side markers and 4th brake light plus the RTR side skirts and rear spats.

Some news you guys may be interested in.
Pretty adamant about selling the car now.
As it sits with stock wheels, I'd be looking to get $31,000-32,000. It has 40,008 miles on it as I type this.
If returned to stock, I'd be looking for $26,500 as it is in fairly good condition still.
If it doesn't sell, I'll have to take the dealership hit and just trade it in stock.

I have decided on a 2018 (will probably be a 2019 when I order) GT Premium 401a, 10 Speed, Perf Pack Level 1 (Unless for 2019 they offer the PPL2 with the 10 speed, highly doubt they will), Safe and Smart, and Ebony Recaros again. Color is still undecided; torn between White and Orange Fury but if its a 2019, the Need for Green has my eye.

Anyways, here's some photos during a carwash as an update to the thread.

Magnaride?
If the PPL2 comes in auto for 2019, I will appreciate the Magnaride for what its worth but I may end up switching to air or at least some very nice coilovers.

In other news... The main reason for getting rid of it was emissions and how I was continually being Rejected for not getting the monitors to become ready. Well, I changed my "Stored In" county to the one where the car gets stored over winter. Emissions isn't required up there. Once I changed it, it let me pay for registration online in a matter of seconds.

I already gauged interest in the car too; a few individuals asked to see it and a couple others wanted a lot more information. Now I need to decide if I actually want to get rid of it.

Ben, Is the emissions thing a normal result of the Lund Tune? or is there some combination of parts (the headers?) that is causing you to fail the test?
Is this affecting the performance of the vehicle?
I'm not familiar with this process, how do you test for emissions and who is really going to enforce it from a legal stand point? I know there are some states that require emissions testing (CA) but I didn't think Wisconsin did.

Hi Lorne.

It is a result of my battery dying over winter, combination of parts, flashing between different tunes all the time, and the miles driven so far this year.
I haven't "failed" the test yet; I've been "Rejected." The difference is that Failing means there actually a problem. Being Rejected means the car's emissions monitors have all been set and aren't ready yet.

There are various testing centers in South Eastern Wisconsin (6 Counties in the entire state require emissions) like QuickLube and FastTraks.
In order for me to pay for registration and get my stickers, I need to go to one of the stations and they plug into the car. They check the readiness monitors and since I hadn't driven the car that much, the monitors weren't ready. They said it could be upwards of 1,000 miles before the monitors come on. Instead, I went to the DMV to change addresses to Minocqua where the car is stored. They wouldn't let me change the address since there was an Open Emissions requirement.

Eventually I found something on the DMV website that allows me to change the "Stored In" County and City. Once I changed these, to my other home (where emissions isn't required) it let me pay for online registration renewal.

So from a legal standpoint, all law enforcement will enforce it since my registration isn't current.

Not a crazy update but wanted to let everyone know that the car is still here; I haven't gotten rid of it yet.
The thought about getting rid of it is pretty harsh until I get in it and drive it for like 20 minutes; the love comes back.

A couple weeks ago I met up with a buddy for a little video feature. He is still working on it currently but when he was shooting video, I was shooting a couple photos.

Can still see some color issues but I am fairly content currently.

And... with the enemy.

Looks Great Ben! I still miss my DIB Coupe from time to time. There is always something new, bigger and better coming around the turn. Have to enjoy what we have in the midst of life. Good luck with your decision, either way you will have a great ride.

Sick build!

-Josh
Thank you!
I appreciate it. The amount of time and effort put into it thus fair is insane. I can't wait to see what is next; either with this car or whatever the next build is.

Hello ALL!
It's been over a year since there was an update... Yeah. My bad.
After the forum updated and most of my photo links broke, I lost most of my interest in continuing with this thread.

I've decided its worth a return and to say THE CARS STILL HERE! There were talks of getting rid of it but that just didnt happen. It didnt make sense to return it to stock, trade it in, and get back into something with a payment. Instead, I purchased a 2017 Fusion Sport with the 2.7L TT V6. Some of you may recognize it; its my fathers old car. He bought a different Fusion Sport thats pretty much identical besides the color.

Sadly, there hasnt been many updates to the mustang. Same wheels got some new spacers put on to make the fitment slightly better and thats about it.

Enough of the words! Here's some photos!

Towards the end of summer last year:

Correction:
A buddy and I spend a full day cleaning and stripping the car. Chemical decontaminated the paint. Clayed, polished, buffed, and waxed the car. I was actually amazed the car wasn't way filthier than it was.

A few before we started:

A couple after we finsihed, not the greatest but there are more to come:

Rollers:
After 4 years of ownership, I finally got to shoot rolling photos of my own car...

And that brings us fairly current! There have been a few more shoots done but nothing substantial to post about!
Still looking for whats next with this build. Still leaning towards a power adder of some sort but nothing specific.

Definitely not putting as many miles on it this year after getting my Fusion. Been keeping a closer eye on the new (2021) M3 info as it gets released. Its bigger brother (the M5's) now come as AWD but can be switched to RWD electronically.. So that would be fun. I may be in the "mustangless" boat with you after all!

Always sucks when shopping to realize "oh, but I OWN this one already..." and it doesnt make sense to get into another payment. Who knows what will happen.

Spent the afternoon yesterday pulling the rear shock off to get some measurements for so custom shocks. Grabbed a few photos while it was up in the air.

As some of you know I got the Steeda Billet rear shock mounts. They aren't 100% factory replacements. They physically mount about a 1/4" lower on the body than the stock ones. Now this may not seem like an issue to most people but being bagged, it means 1/4" less travel. Pulled one of them off to see if I could get a custom shock made to remove the dampening adjuster from around the shaft to the tip of the shaft like a standard front shock would be.
