Thanks, might have to get that radar detector installed... Thinking about buying one for the first time since I will have a car that attracts a bit more attention and actually has power to be used. Would have the throw it in the truck before I crossed the border though, Quebec doesn't like them.

Was that on 87 or on the back roads? I don't plan on taking the highway much, pretty much just to bypass Albany, since back roads are more fun and I'll still be in the break-in period.

That was on 87, but back roads won't help much -- 9, the only really reasonable alternative, paralels 87 close enough that the cop who caught me was on 9 coming in the other direction when he tagged me, like a 1/4 mile away.
