It definitely sounds like a personal issue going on here. I personally am very impressed with the customer service I have received so far and all I have been doing is asking questions so far. As for a positive displacement supercharger go, I prefer a centrifugal for more consistent power and more manageable driveability. Just my 2 cents.

Beefcake, don't fall into his banter. He is no different than a child asking "why?". I will be placing my order soon.

Honestly I don't think he has any hate for non Whipple applications. Back when some of us were installing Whipples there was a lot of bashing it seamed that Whipple was a sub par kit and certain vendors were all over painting a picture how much better and cheaper their kits were. I think that was his point after seeing the dyno. The power levels shown are not "better" than the numbers put down by manual Whipple cars. I believe this is the point he's making.

I can see the point that for the money spent you get 1000cc injectors and a bap but personally I don't think you can compare the kits in that way. PD cars require a lower manifold that centri blowers don't and so on and so on.

And 90% of people are not going to go the next step and want more than 700 rwhp anyway.

Personally I'm getting sick of the war of the power adder systems. I chose Whipple, he chose VMP, he chose KB, Paxton, Vortech, Roush or what ever. Who gives a shit that's why there are choices in the first place.

The car shows would be pretty boring if we all had the same modifications.

Not a 1000lb. 1000cc.

1000lb injectors would be pretty impressive.

I agree though. All kits have their ups and downs. That is why we have choices as consumers.

I don't think any of the s/c manufactures build a product that is far superior than the next. I had an issue with the misleading information from a vendor that was in fact claiming to be 2-3k less expensive than the next. All the manufactures do their homework and price their kits accordingly. Claiming to be 2-3k less expensive than the next is nonsense. As for performance all of them will make more than enough hp on this platform when tuned properly.

I myself would prefer a "safer" tune on the stock bottom end also. Personally, as far as PD blowers go.. I have been there, done that. I don't believe I will go that route again. Heat soak is more prevalent in those combos. I myself will most likely go with a Beefcake combo if I decide not to go turbo.

Thread starts with Beefcake Special......has nothing to do with what I spent. I simply stated the facts of the post. Your claim to fame was that the "Beefcake Special" would save one 2-3k for those wanting to add a supercharger.
Why do you care? You chose what you wanted and are happy with it, he chose what he wanted and is happy with it. Go unplug for a while and enjoy your car.
