I nees to adjust camber up front. I have an idea on how to losen allen bolts without cutting the strut tower but was courious what others are doing since its not an elegant solution.

like you said you can cut the strut tower or you can lower the coilover out and adjust it and reinstall (tedious) or I've heard some finding a tool small enough to fit in there to adjust it. currently still trying to find the best solution myself lol

Right now I see these options

1. Cut strut tower with 3" hole saw.
2. Drill holes in strut tower above allen bolts then find something to plug holes with.
3. Haven't tried this yet, but this is what I am thinking.....Use a flex head 1/4" ratcheting wrench. Insert 5mm allen bit into top of bolt. Then turn with wrench. Only problem is you need to cut the 1" bit in half so it doesn't hit the top of the strut tower. Also hoping the wrench doesn't hit the top of strut tower. I will know if this work in a week or so.
4. Use a stubby or shorter 5mm allen wrench. Impossible to find.
5. Take coilover off the car and adjust. However, I don't know how this would work since you would be guessing at the adjustment needed.

I may try removing the adjustment knob. Also the allen bolts can be moved to get more camber adjustment. I think moving them closer together would make for easier access. I also looked into using caster/camber plates, but they won't work.

For your 5th option you can adjust it by the lines and take a best guess I guess, but it's going to be guesswork.

I think for previous gen mustangs they just cut the strut tower to make the hole bigger to have easier access.

I think cutting would be easiest but I am worried about the hole saw jumping around and not being able to switch the BC's out if I end up not liking them. Was looking at the stock shock plate and it has a cut out that fits into the tower. So cutting may not effect anything, but not sure.

I had a tool welded with 2 90s on it

Works once you take the adjustment knob out, still a bitch though.

I will be getting the j&m top hats once they are out!

Do you know if the maximum motorsport plates work on the BC Racing coilovers?

Is there a specific reason you are waiting for j&m?

Because mm plates will not work with aftermarket coils such as BC.
