My buddy Joe who owns Auto Logic in San Bruno just did my 4.09 swap. Did a great job, and one of the things he really enjoys doing is setting up diffs. Not my cup of tea but he loves it.

Huuuge improvement. I’m on the MT82-d4 trans so much worse ratios than a gt350 but even still if you think gears would help they definitely will. I did mine primarily for better road course gearing but it’s way more fun on the street now too and in gear acceleration is much improved as well. Like adding 40ft lbs.

How did you dial in the speedo correction?

Changing the gear ratio in the tune will fix the Speedo. Or on cars that do not have rev match you can do it in the BCM with Forscan.

Changing the tune makes the car fail smog since the state inmplemented a new law last year. All tunes must be. CARB certified. Guessing you would temporarily flashback to Stock to get smogged?

Yeah even flashing back is not guaranteed to pass. So if you do tune it you gotta be willing to deal with the consequences. Or the ford performance tune is carb certified and can adjust for gears up to 4.09
