With the wheels painted the same color as the stripes and mirrors, it would look very similar.

Topnotch...can you render the Avalanche grey GT350 again without the red stripes? And no blacked out roof? I want to see it in a Spartan look. Trying to prove a point to my wife who absolutely refuses to be seen in a yellow car. So my next choice would be Avalanche. And since she feels the stripes are childish then .... I want her to see an example without the red accents.

Although the kids are eager for yellow with stripes... I gotta live with her.

Okay... I like this color gray. Almost like a glossy coated Primer. Its a photo neutral color so any surrounding colors will be projected from it and pop. And I can see dark window tint with dark wheels really pop on a GT350 with this color. In daylight the car could appear almost white, while in the dusk hours it could be a dark grey to almost black stealth look because it is so neutral. Which should not make it stick out like a sore thumb to law enforcement.

You are so right, on your observation, in regard the car takes on the surroundings. Which will tend to make the car darker or lighter. I could post more photos but I do not want to turn this into a Hummer thread..lol
But I think this color on the Mustang to going to be really an alternative to White, or Silver colored car guys. What I mean is if the Standard White on the mustang is to bright for some, this will tone that down. The same with Silver. I also agree that the Black color will "pop" with this color. This is going to be a hard decision. If anyone cares as they get farther along in the re-build I will post some more photo's to show what avalanche grey looks like.

^Very interested. In fact if you can take the photos with the same exposure setting but change the lighting of the subject it will really show what the difference in tone for this color will be as things go from daylight to dusk.

No...I wish...!!..lol They want the paint to cure for 1-2 weeks, plus they have not even painted the 60 other parts....then once that is done the luck guy who took it apart, gets to put the puzzle back together again.. Im looking at 4 weeks if Im lucky.:frusty:
