You might be able to pry it up with a panel cilip remover tool or maybe a flat head srewdriver

ha it does look a lot more complicated than it is. Installed my STB yesterday. Like posted above just pull straight up.

if you can get a small open end wrench underneath it use that to push it up

this trick works good for popping hoses off of metal pipes/tubes

It grips on pretty tight, so you'll have to use some force to get it to pop off.
