2020 Ecoboost Premium, 1200 miles, second time battery dead. First time had it jumped and by the time it got to dealer was fully charged so said battery good. Used car 2 days ago, today door would not unlock by pulling door handle, opened with fob. Window did not drop, screen showed battery saver on, went to try to start, nothing, just kept makibg clicking noises from dash, dealer said have it towed as Ford will not replace if holding a charge. So now Ford will be paying for the tow with the way they do things. The battery saver circuit is a sad joke considering I used it 2 days ago.

The battery saver circuit can do just so much. You have something in your car that is draining the battery. Your dealer needs to find out what it is.

It is being towed to them now, the tow truck checked battery showed 12 volts, when jumped 14.1 volts, at 12 volts nothing worked. They needed to jump to move it from where it was. Reason being towed this is 3rd time in the 8 months I have it but each time before jumped and drove to dealer they said battery is good from charging the 35 miles, they said Ford will not allow replacement unless dead. It went completely dead 2 days after a 20 mile drive.

They will replace the battery after they find the reason it is being drained. You need to stay on them and do not let the BS you.

The battery itself may not have been the initial cause of the no start condition, as someone else mentioned there's something draining the battery, but after being drained so severely a few times you definitely want a new battery after the primary issue is corrected. The AGM batteries in the newer cars don't handle extreme discharge very well.

When it got to the dealer tech said lights did not come on when door opened, 10.79 volts and 0 cranking amps, dead cell. Battery replaced.

Alright then. Just keep an eye on it. Hopefully I was 100% wrong and it was only the battery. 🤞
