Wipe it down with some spray wax and it will get rid of the rubbery feel
What brand spray wax would like to get rid of the rubber feel:thumbsup:

I used bumper paint from autozone. I did the whole bumper. My car is magnetic. Added the MMD bumper fins
Pics! Thinking of doing the same if I don't go to a 2018 bumper.

No flame. That is just smart. It looks great and can be removed easily.
Now I am thinking about it.

I did have problems pulling the tape off had to practice on a old piece of metal to keep from having a jagged edge. The dip sticks to the tape had to pull it while wet, did many practice runs on test piece:frusty:

I found the same thing Bob. Seems like you gotta do a thick final coat and get that tape off in under a minute for the best line.

I will probably get flamed for this but I did use Plasti Dip in case I did not like it but it was my first time to use Dip. I will say I am happy with the out come, I did use 1/4 inch fine line tape for the curve area and worked great (2nd pic)
that came out phenomenal!

thing with dip is the more coats you do the easier it is to peel and get straight lines with it

i did mine as well last spring.. only i used sem trim paint matches oem trim to a t. i use it in work alot when people scratch up there black textured trim stuff and dont want to get a new one lol.. but it holds nice and its been on there for 6 months so far looks like the day i did it ... only i did like 5 coats its more of a permanent thing though, unlike plastidip
Did you wet sanded the area, wax a grease remove it, primed it and then painted? Just curious on how deep you went to prevent issues with the paint.

Thanks for the inspiration! I was able to gather the courage to do mine as well. I tried to follow the premium lines when I did mine.
