Pics?

Look through your rear wheel at the top of the damper or the bottom of the front damper. Do you see this wire:

Got under the car and everything looks identical to underside ford pic. Same shock color, wiring, etc. I don't have a jack to lift the car high enough to get good pics to post. If pics of suspension are correct and magnetite then that is what is on my car. Looks identical. When I get to messing with it I will post.

Pulled carpet and wiring going to shocks. Are they magnetic shocks? I have pushed this car hard and car is controllable and rides great. Car doesn't twitch when pushing corners. Again how do you tell? Black shock bodies with wiring to them.
I have driven lots of performance cars and I think this gt350 so far is the best handling car I have owned or driven.
I just outlined how you tell! If there is any brake dive or body roll then you don't have magnetorheorlogical dampers. "controllable, rides great, doesn't twitch" means nothing.

How do you know there's noticeable brake dive and body roll on the base? You own a base model or you've driven a base model?

This past summer I was at the Motorsport Reunion at Laguna Seca where the GT350 was the featured car. I spoke at length with Ford engineers and I asked specifically if Magneride was available on the base car. The answer was an emphatic no, only as part of one of the packages. In the next breath he said, "You WANT Magneride." I had driven a 2015 GT PP and asked how the ride quality compared. He described Magneride as "supple."

I don't know, the base may have magneride! But I do know a fixed damper won't be both compliant on the road and exhibit flat handling without some other trick or technology I haven't seen yet. Whoever has a base car within a few hundred miles of me let's swap rides and compare!

I bought the base mainly because it got me the car without any major hassles both price and with my wife since I have other cars. I would have ponied up for an R but prices were and still are insane but maybe I made the best decision whether luck or ?
I have driven 2 tech pack cars as well as they drove mine. Ride difference? NONE!!! Seats big difference. I am a big guy and tech seats were more comfortable but did not hold me as well in turns, etc. Stereo and Nav were upgrades over mine but I could not see the price difference so I bought base. What shocks are in it? I think they may be magnerides. if anybody read my original posts I use the word compliant. to me compliant is nice ride with outstanding cornering and bump absorption. As for braking and nose dive. I have NO nose dive under heavy breaking. I even took car out today in 30 degree weather put car into track mode and shut off advance trac completely. Tried to slide the car out in turns. I can do it but car tries to compensate in suspension slide and digs in. Seems suspension reacts to your actions that is why I believe I may have magnarides. Like I said before I have no regrets. This has been an awesome car and definitely a lot of bang for the buck. Great car no matter what suspension is in it.

Not to be a smart ass but...yeah, that's what a suspension does lol. It reacts to motions and imperfections.

The only way to truly know is take the wheel off and show us a part number.

Go on Ford.com and do the Build and Price. It's there in black and white. Magneride is included in the Tech and Track packages only. It isn't some mystery or matter of opinion.

That's obvious to the OP that's why he ordered base. We are questioning whether ford screwed up and added magnaride to his car or if maybe he's just feeling something that really isn't there. Just waiting for photos and part numbers of his suspension.

The 3rd possibility is that since the majority are magnaride cars - it was cheaper to just use the same parts for the base. For the very few base models that sell, Ford would be buying very few dampers compared to magnaride. Also less complicated to build when they all have the same parts.

Will be nice to see pics. Can't imagine Ford would just put mags in this car for the hell of it and completely ignore the car's packaging components.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I'm curious if the OP is the one now trying to sell his base car for 72k online? I hope not as that guy is sniffing glue to think he can get 14k over MSRP for a used 16 base. The guy selling the base is also saying his base is rarer than an R and suggesting this is a collectors item. I would hope none of our members here would try to screw someone else by lying like this. Might be someone else so I'm not accusing the OP. Perhaps it is just be a coincidence. Below is the ad...

"TRUE Factory FP Race Suspension with NO Magnetic Ride. Car out handles and out accelerates the "R" with no gimmicks. This is the Best and Rarest of all the GT350's made from 2015-2017.":lol::lol::lol:

I think you are right. Still no splitter and interior console picture is the same, down to the oil temp and pressure readings.

OK children, someone make this stop. If he pulls off a sale, more power to him. Just be happy to know you are knowledgable enough to know it's not a good deal, lol. This bickering is BS. He is not doing anything different than what every dealer did by selling 15 and 16 GT350s for more $ than MSRP, and every R for $$$ over MSRP.
