Base GT with PP, or EcoBoost Premium with PP?

Hmmmm some good points here.. This will be a Daily driver, mostly expressway. I have a 80 mile round trip to work and home 3 times a week. I'd love yo say $$ is no object but my better half disagrees and feels low $400's a month is acceptable. I do have a track near the house and used to belong to a local club where they would all hit the strip and race but I never ran my V6 and not something I'm really in to. But always nice to know power is there if needed unlike my v6. Decisions.. Decisions.. Buy now or wait til summer time and possibly buy a Gt Premium by saving down payment. Hmmm

If you aren't in a situation where you *need* the car right away, save up and get what you really want. Waiting a few extra months is better than regretting what you bought for the next few years.

if I knew that you could get the diffuser and driving modes/toggles installed after market by a Ford garage, I'd order the V6.

Diffuser can be added easier then the driving modes.
You might be able to order the toggles (fingers crossed) through Ford.

Right but don't the toggles correspond to the transmission, programming and other things? I assume that wouldn't be an easy install.

Even the guys at the dealer couldn't believe the V6 wasn't being offered in premium and blamed CAFE for it.

Brent do you know how they work? Is it just a PCM thing or does it somehow also hook into other key parts which would require additional installation?

As for the MFT, what about if you just had the base without the MFT. Can that system be added later which then would give you all the MFT options and other things like dual climate etc?

I'm not 100% sure how the toggles work but normally they don't give you a full complete harness or PCM because it would be a waste of money but it possibly could be a simple add-on but I'm doubting it.

On MFT like I said the systems are very complex now and simply adding things doesn't work anymore. I'm sure you can add MFT later but it would be more expensive than just going aftermarket.

The only problem would really come with obtaining and programming the software on to the computer, or unlocking it if it was hidden in the PCM. That is where the real expensive part would come in.

My guess is that the buttons would just work after plugging in. There are only 3 buttons on the non-toggle but 4 on the toggles, I'm thinking all the functions are there, it is just that all the buttons aren't plugged in. Although, I haven't paid too much attention to what each of the buttons are on each set.

I will disagree. If they make it so a MFT non-nav cannot be upgraded after the factory to a MFT with Nav (I confirmed this last year my friend thought all he needed was the SD card and reflash after speaking with numerous people within Ford they confirmed you would have to fully buy a nav enabled MFT and antenna in order to upgrade costing well over $2000 in parts before labor).

I highly doubt the driving modes and toggles is a quick 2 sec plug and play. Honestly save a few extra months and get a premium instead of worrying about chopping and splicing wires to be cheap.
