Oh man, you just reminded me. Got to one of the jobsites, an old man(80+) parked his car too close to an older BMW 5 series, hes got like 6" of room, and hes struggling to squeeze out, and continues struggling. All the while the spot to the right of him was empty, and he's using his door as a brace to help him squeeze out, as you can guess, his door is contacting the BMW's.

I'm just standing there in disbelief :doh:

I saw this kind of thing at the grocery store parking lot. After the slobby bastard went into the store I wrote his license and stuck it under the other cars wiper.

Haha! Looks EXACTLY like what happened, to me at least.

The dealership obviously doesn't want my money to repair it, (they haven't gotten back with me about a quote) so I'll just do my best on the touch up and go from there. It's never acceptable nor easy to stomach regardless the age or condition of the car, just stings more when this happens within a month of ownership. Not to mention we are the one's who have to pickup the repair tab...

I only wish people would show a little more regard towards others, extending beyond damaging our beloved cars. And yes, they are made to be used but to me they are also like functioning pieces of art.

Oesman, I really hope that there wasn't any damage from that van parking so close. People seem to car less when they are in a company vehicle.

why I try to only take the truck to the store. Or I know that I can get my spot. Granted if I park out and someone parks close like that my dip ends up to where they have to clean it up.

I think it's true sometimes, but overall I think people are just stupid, don't think or are just out of it in general. People do it to my truck too, granted it's a nice truck ('14 Ram Sport), but I don't consider it particularly flashy.

I remember years ago some chick nearly took my door off when she decided to park next to me. It was morning time and I was the only one in the parking lot and I had my door open because I was digging in the trunk moments earlier while waiting for Radio Shack to open. She flew into the spot and barely stopped in time to avoid slamming into my door. No idea why you'd wanna park right next to someone when the entire lot is empty. There's no way at the speed she came in she had any time to decide she was jealous of anything, just stupid.
