Bad experience with Viking Performance

In April I purchased my new 2015 Mustang GT I couldn't be more happy with the car and started modding right away like most of us. I decided to purchase a set of Viking shocks. At first they functioned really well and I was happy with them. After about a month or so they started squeaking real bad making lots of noise. I called Viking and they wanted me to pay to ship them back for testing. But then offered to send a new pair in 3 weeks with their "new design"

It took more like 3 months. They charged me again, and want me to pay to ship the others back. I asked them to pay for shipping and in the end I get hung up on. Im sure there are others they have better experiences. But if you have a problem. Boy is it going to suk for you.

My advice. Buy another brand of shocks. Because there is a chance you could end up with a brand new Mustang driving down the road for 3 months sounding like it needs a new chasis. And end up with a headache and extra charges you did not expect.

Sounds like the FRPP shocks + Steeda ultralite linear springs is a really sweet setup.

Koni will be releasing a set for next year (Q1 2016). Seeing the issues with Viking first set made me uneasy, seeing issues from vendor on top of design issue. I think ill wait myself for Koni.

I had no squeaks on my 15 and now have the updated shocks on my 16. I spoke with them at Sema and they will also update all of the old shocks if you send them in. I have had a very positive experience with them.

How are the updated version? I returned mine due to rattles months ago and miss them. I really want to give them another try but no way will I live with rattling.

I have the crusaders on my car and mine sees a lot of track duty after about two months one shock went out. I'm going to have to talk with Kelly about getting a new set with the new design. I've already broke one set of shock mounts so hopefully the new design will be better.

I already paid shipping once for a squeaking issue they could not duplicate, but when I received them it was gone.

They rattle like crazy, so I guess I'd have to pay shipping again to have them revised? Meh. I'll wait for another manufacturer to come out with something.
