Hey everyone. I believe I'm going to do my best to get into a Mustang in the next few weeks. I've deeply missed mine (I lost it in a total a couple years ago) and was hoping some of you guys could give me some pointers on what would be a quality asking price on some of these cars. In recent years I've had issues with dealers just not wanting to operate or negotiate at all.

I've found a few 2019s and a few 2020s. Obviously, the 19s would be nice but I'm limited in options. What's a quality discount? 2019s like 20% or should I ask for more? I found a decked out RTR black (automatic and premium) that's 53k. 20% off would make this extremely attractive, especially with the 84 months at 0%. Is something like that doable? Options I should search for and options I should avoid!? Its been a while since I've been in the Mustang market, so I'd appreciate the guidance!

You cant get 0% APR for 84 months on any 2020 Mustang so dont hope for that. As for options it's going to be what you really want. Everyone has different needs. Example I wouldnt buy a Mustang without magne-ride but some hardcore Mustang owners wont care as long as they have the car. I gave up on finding a good deal since no ford dealer is willing to come down on the 2020's. Later today I'm going to the Dodge dealer to look at the Charger 392 Scat Pack and if I like it then I will be in the Mopar family. Good luck on your search.

There are lots of threads dealin with this subject. A 2019 should be at least 20% off. There are LOTS of 2020 cars being advertised at 15% off MSRP.

Lots of threads about a lot of things. Unfortunately, most threads turn into a slosh of unanswered questions and rabbit holes. The most recent threads in relation to this don't have much discussion on here.

I appreciate the insight though. I'll have to try my best to find a dealer willing to work with me then

its tough atleast in my area im about ready to bite on a black pp1 base car with 301a and 10 speed sticker is 44315 dealer wants 43920 out the door this includes tax and all fees including gap insurance with 0 apr for 72 months so im leaving about 3k in rebates on the table but the zero apr save me more money over the 3k with 4.9 apr ford offers so its about 11% below msrp but they swear they are at their bottom and tbh all other dealers wont go beat them so im wondering if they are actually being honest because while i want a great deal they need to make money to i cant imagine them making more than 2k on the deal. you get guys in here claiming crazy deals even with the zero apr deal im starting to think these are very rare.

location, motivation, desperation. In Miami I suspect you have none of the three working in your favor.

Penn Fed is $1.14%
The 2.14% is for 36 months; 2.89% for 60 months and 2.99% for 72 months and 4.4.9% for 84 months. Navy Federal Credit Union is 2.29% for 72 months...and eligible members may deduct .50% from the 2.29%, if they qualify. Navy Federal Credit Union's rates are the lowest I have seen in the last month or so for a 72 month loan. If you are a member of NFCU and qualify, take the rebates and the low APR rates...odds are you will come out better doing this. YMMV.

It he opts for the 0 financing, it's probably 4 grand extra; effectively removing some of the rebates

You are correct. Dealers aren't really providing that number up front. Its when you go to finalize, ask the deal length and then they go...oh, here's an additional 4k tacked on top of it.

In all honesty, I haven't really found a quality deal. Things might be a 'bit' cheaper than they were before but I haven't seen anything really worth my time. In fact, its been a bit heartbreaking. I did get all excited.

I found a car about 4k cheaper, MSRP was 46k (still had some fantastic options) but out the door it was more than the MSRP. Just doesn't really add up to me.

I live in Michigan but got mine from Koons Ford Baltimore. Mine was a custom order and got around 7.5k-8k off MSRP. The sticker price was 45875 and i paid 41k OTD with finance through DCU. I didn't even negotiate but i could've gotten for like 40k OTD had i waited few more days, Ford increased the rebates from 750 to 1500 couple of days after i bought it.
