So I'm going to start beefing up my drivetrain with hopes of going turbo on my 2018 10r80 next year.

DSS seems to have the best pricing but I'm reluctant to buy them because of previous issues. First being, a person local to me broke their 800hp shafts on a street race in a NA car. We made similar power and I was running GT350 axles. Both cars were fbo GTPP 15 and a 16.

Then a good friend of mine kept having boots blow apart and had to keep sending them back. The first set never got installed due to missing clamps and bolts. They seem to be fine now but his car was down a lot. Axles went back 3 separate times.

So have they fixed the QC issues? Do they hold power better?

I really like the ford racing axles and don't know that I've heard anything bad about them. Which are supposedly made GeForce.

GeForce offers 3 different axles too. I will eventually get a converter and clutches but I doubt I'll use the transbrake.

So:
DSS 2k axles
Ford racing
GeForce renegade

Or do I really need the Outlaws?

FRPP (Gforce) hands down the best - no question. I ran DSS800's and never broke them. I always had a sway to the rear at speeds over 70mph - people told me it was DR's, I had the car aligned several times with different tires, and axles in and out plenty times and the sway was always there. When I upped the boost I went with the FRPP 1400's, no more sway, car cruises like a caddy at any speed now and they have held up great. I will not ever buy another DSS product but that's just me.

Thank you for the input! I'm definitely leaning towards those.

This is my collection of broken DSS 800hp CV’s, forcing me to become an expert at installing Porsche 930 CV’s.
As you’ve already noted, the 1400’s were rocking some dramas there for a while also.
I’d just skip DSS entirely and hope that the opposition are more competent. I don’t see how they could be any worse to be honest.

Damn. That's ridiculous. I appreciate the input!

G-Force Ford Racing has my vote. I have, well over 130 passes on mine with no issues.

Follow up ? - Are you replacing both sides or just drivers side? I'm also going turbo on my '19 and have seen this a couple of times while reading. "I've never heard of anyone breaking the passenger side." No one disputed the claim so I'm wondering if I should just go Ford racing on the left and leave the right stock. Thanks!
