Anyone know how much the stock axles can take? I am curious if i can launch my 2015 gt pp car at 3500 on the stock axles and mickey thompson et streets. I know bama broke theirs but the car seemed to be leaving at 5k or more.

bama was down about 250 pounds and was running close to 450 whp out of that car with slicks banging 5200 rpm.. unless youre doing that you should be fine.

I am deff planning to do axles but I am hoping it will hold up for a few trips. It is not my daily driver but I don't want to be stranded at the track.

Either try with street tires first or go with a buddy with a truck and trailer.
I went to the track yesterday on street tires and traction was bad. I guess I will just install the axles before I do sticky tires. What is the next weak link after axles? Driveshaft? Tranny?

I broke one on mine after about 5-6 launches at the track launching at 3500 mods in sig. Beef hooked me up with the axles now just if that driveshaft would get here. Then it will be Mcleod RXT for me and if your going to the track on stock axles might as well bring a trailer no BS.

I've had customers break them on the street with the stock tires, IMO if your going to the track at all regardless of horsepower I'd replace them.

Don't even have my car yet but I ordered axles from beef last night. If you know it's the weakest point of the car there is not point on upping power if it just going to break.

After pulling my stock axles and laying them next to the DSS axles I got from beef I can see why they break so easy ...I have friend with a hell cat and he broke his first time to the track with sticky tires ... I guess we are not alone with the weak axle thing ..

The stock drive shaft seems to be pretty strong but heavy !! I'm going to get a alum one just in case ..

The stock axles won't take a lot of launches before they brake . So if you are planning on adding more traction it's only going to make it worse. I would say with stock axles and what you are planning on doing I wouldn't give it more than 15-20 hard launches.
