Would anyone be able to tell me if AVID 1 AV20'S in an 18x9.5 +22 offset would fit our cars? I have a base ecoboost. Curious cause there is a set in the correct lug pattern for sale for DIRT cheap and I might pick them up. Here's what the wheel looks like for reference.

whats the centerbore?

centerbore is 73.1 on the s550 platform. The offsets look right for the width.

Since you have a EB this will work fine all around.

The CB of our cars is 70.5 so you will need a hubring no big deal there.

Well they sold quickly before I got a chance at em, which is not a surprise given the price they were listed for. But while I am here I can now take an opportunity to learn. Please explain what you mean by Centerbore and what a hubring is and what it's function is. I'm hoping it's not a spacer cause I definitely would have passed on them at that point of spacers were needed.

The best way of explaining is this

The centerbore of a wheel is the machined opening on the back of the wheel that centers the wheel properly on the hub of a vehicle. Now on OEM wheels this hole is machined to exactly match the hub.

On aftermarket wheels to be able to apply them to more vehicles the CB is much larger for the 5x4.5 PCD its 73.1 mm as the most common size. Now to have the wheel sit snug we use a hubring ( either hard plastic or aluminum) to fill this space and it sits on the hub and the back CB of the wheel for a snug fitment.

It is not a spacer its just there to ensure a snug fit and to make sure there is no vibrations.

Hopefully that helps answer that for you.

Ok that definitely helps. So these are something I will have to order no matter the wheels I get for my car.

Paul, I have read both numbers quoted for centerbore, being either 70.5 or 73.1, and with all the research I could do, I thought they were 73.1.

Have you measured it, just to be sure?

Depending on the wheel model it will or will not require it.

Understandable brotha, I know that the S550 platform is a 70.5 ( some round to 70.6) mm for the CB of the hub and that aftermarket wheels vary from 70.5 up to 74.1 depending on the model.

I have measured the factory platform for everything ( brakes, hub, cb., calipers, strut placement and such).

Am I to assume that if a wheel does not require it that is what you consider a hubcentric design??
