Snek in the water!

My day in the rain at Barber MSP. Got lucky as there was a photographer on call and got some awesome wet shots. This is just a sample of my images and still waiting on the full load. Mason did great work and recommend his shop to all.

Awesome pics Harold! How’d she do? What tires were you running? Nice facility.... Must be loving that ‘R’
To be honest Jim, it sucked!!!!! It was really wet and temps in the 40's (f). The conditions made for interesting times! I went of roading three times!!!! LOL Fortunately no damage to the car or track$$$$. Unfortunately for me, my self confidence was thrashed. Got one redeeming lap at the end of the session. In my Track pack and much better conditions I was running 1:45's. In the R in the really wet and cold the best I could muster was 2 minutes and finally when the sun came out ran a 1:50. So! SC2's in cold and wet conditions do not warm up or at least I did not have the confidence to drive the car hard enough to get them warm. The cold track and rain sucked all the heat out. Never gained not 1 psi in tires after 30 minute wet/cold sessions. I was close enough in time to be certain that I will be at least 3-5 seconds faster in the R when conditions are ripe. Here is a video of Adam, a previous 350 owner and forum member, at barber same day. Weather was shit!!!

Cool, thanks for the deets. Sounds cold and miserable but at least you don’t have salt to worry about. Glad there was no damage and it seemed like you learned a ton about the car. You must have nerves of steel, three times off the track...I think I would’ve stopped after the second... Time for some SottoZeros  Good stuff!

Only because it's been a year and a half - Big F'n BUMP.

That and I wanted to get some input, ask a question.

The pic below has three samples from Prismatic Powders in attempts to match up AG in powder coat. They’re placed on my trunk. (Yup, kinda perserverating on the closest I can get.)

AG - Prismatic Powders estimates.jpg

The pic was taken with a flash. It'll be a week or so until I can get the car out into natural light....

Any thoughts on what you think the closest match might be? I'm leaning toward the Coastal. Has anyone found a closer powder coat match to AG?

Thanks!

I use to hate this color and grabber blue but they have really grown on me. Hopefully one of these 2 colors will pull me away from black if I end up getting a GT 350! Honestly the GT 350 and the s550 in general looks good in any color.

Interior peice - shift knob and an MGW OEM Shift knob adapter - so it’s not a huge deal. Just wanted to throw it out there and give this thread a bump...

23MAR18 Barber MSP. My daughter's first attempt as photographer so don't beat the pics up please. I was half she participated and captured the event. This day was incredibly special as I shared it with some really good friends who were brave enough to ride shotgun in the R. Needles to say they had a blast. One got sick and no worries car was spared.

Yeah man! We had a blast!!! All my passengers have never been on track and the R is a hell of a machine to be the first to do it in. The car averaged 5mpg, destroyed left side tires (needed more camber) used 18gal of 98 oct (car is a scalded beast on race fuel) used no oil and ran FLAWLESSLY! it was an incredible weekend. Still editing the video footage of which I have a lot of. Here is a clip from my buddy, Alvin's phone. We were black flagged for the loose item in car lol. I'll post up all the vids when complete.
