Yep, I agree with that.
I don't. Location, daily driving, etc play into this poll. If you want to make assumptions like that out of this poll it'd have to be based on weekend track toys or something.

A lot of people here sell their manual cars or end up only using them on weekends.

roughly 6 out of 10 people don't need to justify their choice as a means of showing their masculinity.

That being said, if Ford ever offered a DCT or something comparable to the ZF 8-speed in BMW's or Porsche's excellent PDK(god willing), I would instantly go for it, but until that day comes or a DCT in general, manual for me solely for the fun factor, paddles can be fun on the right car though, Mustang too I bet; maybe not for you(clearly not for your testosterone filled ego and belief in what it means to be a car enthusiast, because clearly you're to perfect version of one :p), but for others. :paddle:

Ragging on people for not choosing a stick is like ragging on people for not choosing a GT, or living in an apartment instead of a house, or preferring a couch over a recliner, or enjoying a Mounds over an Almond Joy. Every choice is made from a perspective that is uniquely your own.

I drive a stick by choice but I don't judge anyone for their choice. That's being ignorant

I really debated auto/manual for the first time in a long time when shopping for a 2015. A large part of me really wanted an auto this round for simply building a 1320 Monster. But the PP options won out which forced me into a manual.

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
I just sit back, and laugh at every new "mt-82 issue thread."
Its the same heaping pile of *shimt-82* first dropped in 2011.

If the not-too-distant future holds autonomous vehicles, will you still look at change as being unquestionably good or will you become more willing to voice a contrary opinion or two? Serious question, but you don't have to answer it here.
Assuming that they can be built with ironclad reliability in the autonomous driving systems, of course I'd be all for them. Insurance costs would be virtually nil, deaths and injuries from accidents would be almost completely eliminated, highway speeds would be higher, traffic tickets would be eliminated, and you could do NYC-D.C. runs while taking a nap like you're on Amtrak. You wouldn't have to worry about having one or ten extra drinks at the bar and having to drive home drunk.

And you could still get your driving kicks at your local race track.

Where's the downside?

Guys, just be happy Ford still gives you the option of your manual...
Yes, a lot more manufacturers are pulling out from manual cars. It sucks.

So by grabbing a phallic symbol and yanking it back and forth all day is more manly?
