So Ford and Chevy co-built this thing with Ford taking the lead on the 10 spd. So why is it that Ford is leaving owners out on features the damn thing can do. Apparently the chevy version has a feature where you can hold the left paddle and drop to the lowest available gear during spirited driving ala the DCTs in the C8 and GT500. I can testify this doesn't work nor is it in the manual for the Mustang GT/Mach 1. I haven't tried it in manual so maybe that is the key. The Chevy manual states it very clearly. WTH.

Dab the throttle and it will do the same thing

not speaking of kick-down

if you do it right it will jump down to the lowest gear possible

I know it can drop quickly with throttle input but in Manual mode it should do it with a paddle hold...different experience and I think a oversight if you take it on a road course or a road like TOTD...irritating that they left out a feature that is in the transmission they built.

@DarthMalice This sounds more like a control software feature than the trans feature.

I would say that Chevy engineers just went an extra mile.

Tried it in manual mode. Nope. I love my Mach 1, but I wish Ford would get small touches like this right. PDR is another thing I they did right that makes me jealous.
