Hi, I have 2015 Eco and was just curious if this was normal or not perhaps I'm being a bit paranoid -

When I drive I rest my hand on the shifter knob and when accelerating I can feel a very slight vibration like you would if you held your fingers against your throat and hummed.
I assume its the vibration from the engine or transmission but I haven't had a car like this ever so I'm not sure if it is supposed to be smoother.
It is sometimes noticeable when idle however it is very subtle.

On cold starts the car also emits a loud whirring type noise which eventually subsides after about a minute of being on also not sure if this is normal..?

Also when going from park to drive or reverse to drive there is a slight jerky motion is this normal?

Thanks for your help!

Sayzahr, I'm really curious, does your car on a cold start sound like this?

Yes I've looked at your youtube videos when trying to find out if it was normal or not lol..I even posted on your youtube channel.

Anyways yes it's quite similar and lasts just as long it seems.

I did take it into the dealership and they claimed to have ran it on the dyno with no code errors - the issue is pretty hard to replicate when you take into a dealer so I'm not quite sure what to do.

Aside from being an ecoboost automatic transmission - is the common element here that we all have the PP?

I notice that mine does that loud vacuum sound only on cold start ups -
I drove my friends challenger SRT this weekend and there is no vibration on his shifter knob despite it being a V8 -

At this point is this something we have to live with?

Sayzahr, any updates? I'm curious since I have some of these issues.
Hey no updates..I'm waiting to take in my car to the dealer. However the second day I owned the car the plastic moulding on the trunk latch broke so I'm waiting for that part to arrive so they can replace it. They said they want to do everything in one shot but it's been about 2 weeks since they ordered the part supposedly it's on back order. I will give them until Friday and then I will take my car in regardless if they can fix the lock or not.

I have been very disappointed with the service at my dealer though, I did bring in the car as soon as the plastic moulding broke and all they did was put it under the felt carpet of the car and told me that's how it is - we went back and forth about 10 minutes until I told him to bring another mustang so we can compare - I talked to the foreman and he apologized because they had my car for over 8 hours and the problem wasn't fixed not only that they tried to fake the job as if I was an idiot. Anyway I will keep you posted..

In the meantime the cars vibration seems to be steadily increasing I even had a rattle today in the shifter knob while idle. How about you?
