FWIW, the 285/35R19 RE-71R square on 19x10.5/19x11 would be very well supported, and a much better option than even a wider RE-11 in terms of grip. there is very good history with people in ST* classes running a 285 on an 11 - for example, brian peters (multi-time national champion) in his STU 350Z a few seasons ago. don't let the "narrower than stock" thinking of a 285 cloud your vision, compound is keyCraaaap...looks like RE 11 s for me.
Yeah I know. I would be more than wiling to run a 285 up front with an outstanding compound. In fact I almost wonder if it would improve steering feel. I'm just trying to keep all variables in mind like how the 350 was also set up with that wider contact patch in mind so it's more about taking advantage of the already advantages that it has. Personally, I wouldn't run a 285 on anything larger than a 10.5" wheel.don't let the "narrower than stock" thinking of a 285 cloud your vision, compound is key![]()
