Manuals should be a blast on a road course or autocross. Enjoy.I've had my fun with drag racing. If I do intend to torture my LE I'll be looking more into a track experience.

Yeah, in reality I'm kind of in the same place. I've had my fun a quarter mile at a time in the past. While I may still take my S550 to the strip a couple times just to shake it down and see what it can do, I don't plan to do a whole lot of drag racing with it. I'm getting the Performance Package too, and that doesn't really lend itself well to drag racing anyway.I've had my fun with drag racing. Ever since I took my prior 09 GT to a Test and Tune in Manassas VA I've Never wanted to touch the strip again. I was lined up next to an 01 Camaro SS. I had the better launch and was ahead. I guess he was upset by that so while he shifted into 2nd he generated massive wheel spin and panicked passing behind me by inchs and slamming into the concrete. I was done after that lol.....At least I won...Yeah, in reality I'm kind of in the same place. I've had my fun a quarter mile at a time in the past. End of thread? 2 pages in and he's still rambling on about auto v manualIf I were to compare all the posts I've read online of people with blown autos or roasted clutches in a manual, it numbers about 5 to 1 with people replacing manual transmission parts (usually the clutches) over say a torque converter or other related automatic parts.
Yet again, this isn't an auto vs. manual debate. It is a BUY WHAT YOU PREFER debate. End of thread.

Yeah, I appreciate watching a really skilled manual driver take his/her car down the track much more than an auto car, even though the auto might E/T a bit faster. And yes, a missed shift sounds awful, but a truly skilled driver usually won't do that as long as their tranny/shifter is operating properly.A "WELL DRIVEN" race with a manual car is really nice to watch
Generally the perf. pkg. was not available on the 2015 automatic. However, the 50 year limited edition (not the appearance package, but the actual 50 yr. limited edition) did come with the performance package.Well, I know you can't get the performance package with the auto. I'm also pretty sure launch control is only available on the manual, so I'm going to guess the best 0 to 60 times for the 2015 Mustang will come via a manual transmission.
