Hi All, i know there's a great deal of frustration at the moment with the progress (or lack there of) - and I'm feeling it too - I've gone from a Dec 5 delivery date to Jan 2nd (but I'm under no allusions there) and after everything that's been written over the last 48 hours, I'd say I'm now looking at March 2016! - that's a hell of a long time since placing the order in Dec last year (2014) but on the up side i have seen some movement again today.....

My ETIS record was updated finally with some details.

For the record my timing as follows (and hopefully this helps others):

- my ETIS update : 27 Oct 2015

It was just loaded onto a rail car today. It should ship out to the port in Baltimore soon. Have a nice day!

Checked this morning - nothing yet - but it did take few days to update with the details when Deysha last PM'd me.

Yeah you're right (as usual).

Deysha PM'd me today saying that no build date has yet been scheduled, but should be happening within a week or so.

Aus-MustangGT, I wonder why our cars are dragging the chain relative to OzStangFan's vert when his Etis hasn't fully updated and his build is two weeks behind ours and yet his vert has been loaded into a railcar bound for Baltimore according to Deysha. It seems it is missing that step to the upfitters. Interesting. Is it because it is a vert or because that step to the upfitters is no longer required in general?
Also can you answer that question I put to you above re Deysha and your signature or can you PM the answer to me?

Hi Ian - no sweat - I understand the frustration - I don't know if the info I have is right or not (do any of us really?) but I just wanted to share as the more information we collectively have the better (I think) - certainly not looking to create more angst for anyone (especially given the amount we all already have)

I went back and looked at the specific PMs i received from Deshya and this is what it looks like:

Wrote to her on the 15 Oct (based on the frustration we all feel to try to find out something)
Got a reply back on the 23 Oct saying:

it’s already in production to finish building today. The system has not updated to show it finished, but it should in the next day or so. It’ll then be released to the body company (upfitter) to finish the assembly process. Then returned to the plant and released, and put out to await shipment. It shows an ETA of 12/7/15 to the port in Baltimore, MD, which is subject to change.
I responded on the 23 Oct thanking her (she really is an incredible resource we have access to - imagine where we'd be without her?)

And then today (28 Oct) she replied :

It was just loaded onto a rail car today. It should ship out to the port in Baltimore soon. Have a nice day!
I definitely had to go to the upfitters - she stated that - could that simply mean that the upfitters is not a long process....? I don't know.

I'l keep checking ETIS and post when the rest of the details show up.

Without a photo showing its actually finished and on the train, who really knows..:shrug:

Etis has updated to the sports seats and the front and rear coil springs. One more small step in the order of things. At least they don't appear to have lost my car. Excuse me if I don't think anythings funny anymore.

Thanks Bob. As you say there is nothing much that we can do to alter the wheels of progress...cough.....cough!! The best bit of information in recent days came from our dearly beloved Deysha. As you have probably read, my car has finished production at the plant and it's now been released to the body company (upfitter) to finish the assembly process. Then returned to the plant and released, and put out to await shipment and then ship to the port in Baltimore, MD.
That is the first time that I have read about the actual sequence between the build and the shipping port. If they could now tell us what actually happens at the upfitters and how long it takes and then everything in between there and the port, that would certainly fill in all the blanks and make us all that much wiser. It would also tell us what caused the delay!

I have this picture in my mind of a semi-homeless person who puts an appropriate countries manual in the glovebox and a premium unleaded sticker inside the fuel filler flap. All carried out under a rickety carport type structure in the middle of a huge pile of randomly parked cars in a muddy paddock. The crap communication and blundering attempts to provide build progress makes this scenario of the upfitter seem quite probable.

All carried out under a rickety carport type structure in the middle of a huge pile of randomly parked cars in a muddy paddock. The crap communication and blundering attempts to provide build progress makes this scenario of the upfitter seem quite probable.
