Thanks Paul.
I can guarantee you, you won't be disappointed. It sounds much better than the videos but with same tone and that's what I was after.

Every few minutes I want to go for a short drive again. Lol

I bought it from Car Mods Australia, they matched Mustang Motorsports price. If you are not local they only charge flat 13 dollars shipment. Tim and Daniel both were more than helpful.
Thanks Kaps,

Those prices are fantastic, I'll be going that way too !

Thanks for the info :)

I've got the SLP loudmouth 2's ready to go on. They are owned and made by Roush but slightly deeper and also slightly less rasp and volume. I'm going to put them on and if they're too quiet I'll go a H Pipe....I've heard exactly that combo on a YouTube video and it sounded sweet. Just need a damn car.

Even look exactly like the Roush.
OMG Daz,

You've got me thinking now :frusty:

That really does sound good, I like your thinking about the conservative start.

Just put in an enquiery for this very thing with Mustang Motorsport given they are local for me. Pricing isn't extravergant for the sound you get. Think I'm set on the Roush

^^^^ Looking forward to some sound clips on these Roush and SLP.

Seems a good approach is is to do axle-back then can do an "H" pipe later. Good cheaper way to go.

Yup it will be then a catback with H pipe :)

I took my car first time on the motorway today to get the Paint protection done.

Started the car around 5:30 AM and I was worried it will be loud. But nah, it was not loud to disturb any of my neighbors. Please note if you live in a unit or apartment it will not be the case.
Then I took it on the motorway. It has a bit deep tone if you start slowly, a tiny rumble that you want to have when putting your foot on the pedal.
No drone at all.
I had the radio on and didn't feel anything outside. You have to drop down the volume really low to hear it. The new mustang have very good sound insulation.
That said the sound of the exhaust itself is sweet not loud in a annoying way.

I enjoyed every moment on the motorway. Occasionally I put foot on the pedal to overtake and it sounded awesome.
I saw 2 cops on the way none of them looked at the car in a negative way.

The bonus was all the attention. Cars literally stopping when the traffic was slow to take pictures. Kids, guys and girls finding it hard to take their eyes off.
I was followed by a few cars at a respectable distance to get a good look at the cars.
Every time i wanted to change lane, I was given plenty of room with a big smile.

The best moments were when guys in Holdens couldn't resist to have a good look at the car trying hard to hide their expressions.
However plenty of people driving good cars were also among the ones rubbernecking with mouth open. :D

The best was, when 2 guys in Subaru have Windows open and yelling f@@k f@@k f@@k with joy while continuously staring at the car.

I just smiled and gave them a taste of the sound by putting foot on pedal. They were overwhelmed ;)

I am very happy with the sound of exhaust. MRT H pipe already ordered arriving next month.
I will try to make some video over the weekend and try to upload.

Cheers

Has anyone considered or changed the just the mufflers on their Mustang? To change the tone, also to keep it legal and insurance premiums down? Is it worth it as a cheaper mod?

That's what an axle back is ..... Like the guys review above !
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I am new to the world of exhausts. I will probably go down this path also.

Cat to back exhaust will not change your insurance premiums either. No insurance company that I have contacted have cared about cat to back and it hasnt changed premiums.

If your insurer is trying to charge then change companies.

Oh. My. God. That is the worst idea in automotive history, bar the Panamera.
