Has anyone got Borla S Type yet? I'm planning to install it once my baby arrives (hopefully end of this year). From all the videos I've seen with the volume cranked up, this particular exhaust ticked all the boxes for me. Any thoughts or comments from experience?
Hey, this is David Borla from Borla Exhaust. If you guys have any questions about our parts please feel free to email me directly, my email address is [email protected]. We offer many different sound levels, tips styles, X-pipes and even pipe diameters for your Mustang exhaust making the proliferation of options we offer a bit confusing at times. Add headers, and valve options for the GT350 and you might need some assistance finding the set up that fits your needs best. Anyhow, contact me if you'd like some help understanding what we offer.

Cheers

Took delivery yesterday! Had the dealer fit my Maganaflow Comp Cat-back. A massive shout out to Magnaflow USA and Wayne from Super Cat Converters (MF Aus) who assisted with some fitting issues. Basically, my dealer had fitted the X-Pipe upside down, which created all sorts of allignment problems. Wayne organised for one of this techs to speak to the Service Manager and they worked it out in no time after some stressful calls beforehand.

If you are looking for top-notch support for the exhaust you are going to purchase, I can highly recommend MF.

And the sound, one of the sweetest notes ive ever heard from a V8.
Glad that we could help you get to the bottom of the issue, and that all is well now! Your recommendation is greatly appreciated!

Heard the Steeda axle back on my mates car last night. Sounds awesome. Probably at the limit of how loud I would tolerate. In very low rpm just off idle there was a frequency which wasn't agreeing with me but it is only ever for half a second, not at cruising rpm.

On throttle sounds absolutely awesome.

Sweet that you got to hear the exhaust in person over there!

And after hearing, most likely what I will get for mine too.....
Did you hear it as an axle back only? As in, were there ANY other mods to the exhaust other than the simple replacement of the rear mufflers?
Do you think the cops would hassle you with this fitted?

Axle back only with factory resonator still there. It's going to be less noisy than most cat backs, except the borla touring I'd guess.

I sent an email to Borla a few weeks ago with a query regarding some of the red accents on the Mustang in the video but have still to hear back from them. Maybe didn't receive the email?

Installed my new MBRP Street exhaust today - & boy does it sounds good - actually it's better than good.

It was so easy to install - only took a hour and a half to do it. No welding - the parts just bolted up.

- then I started the engine...oh what a sound..

It has a real deep throaty grumble at idle - then as you put your foot down - it moves to a louder deep roar with a slight crackle as you change up a gear.

this is how a mustang should sound...
IMO - this is the best system I have heard...

I would highly recommend this replacement exhaust ....

following are some pictures of the installation.

I've been agonising over what system to do. I was set on xforce until I found out they were Chinese made. Hurricanes are mild steel only. I think I'm probably going DiFillpo. $4400 retail for the complete system in 3" stainless. If an installer gets it at 20% off they should be able to fit it for that price.
