Geez, I must be looking in the wrong spot I thought the price was ok. $7800 is install, tune, headers, cat to back and an intake. Maybe Roush trying to charge $8000 for a cat to back quad tip has made me expect to little for my money :-)

Anyone in the Sydney or ACT area got any suggestions of places they are getting good prices?
I guess part of the problem is there are limited Aussie options of a drive in drive out Workshop that offers a complete package....YET....I'm going to sit tight for a while and let the Mustang performance market grow for 6 months first...

Of what I've read in our hot conditions An Air intake is fairly pointless it will give more heat-soak than a factory airbox, A full exhaust is definitely a power adder and really most brands build a good enough system with power differences between brands being minimal if anything.. Some headers and catbacks may show 10rwhp more on a dyno at peak rpm (where you drive least) but another system gains 10rwhp in the lower range so pick an exhaust you love the sound of. Tuning and a great tune is essential and I believe this is where all the growth will be in Australia and will come in the next 6 months or so...there are plenty of excellent tuners in Australia that are probably scrambling to get their tunes to market....let the dust settle then go for it. KPM are great no doubt about it and also are in front in Oz for getting packages to market its only money if you're happy with their package sign the dotted line and go make black marks and white clouds.

Maybe I will go streetfighter tune and varex exhaust. Oh well plenty of time to make up my mind I guess and listening live to the exhausts of others will help. Bring on July August ish :-)

Also I live in the cold part of the country so I may go that airbox anyway.

Really appreciate all the advice people are giving here. It is awesome.

Was the $8k quote for the Active Roush Quad pipe Stubai? The extra kit the active sports over a passive makes a huge difference to the price installed.

Just went back and checked the email to absolutely sure.

It is the quad tip active exhaust with valance $7490 to be exact.

I like the active exhaust and ability to change and quiet the note in theory

For look nice and sound nice

[$46,800
Same as before but actually adds some power.

Considering we paid around 64k for the original car 70% extra to go from 306k to 500k doesnt seem a great return on investment.

Happy if someone can demonstrate otherwise as would help convince the missus i need to spend 2yr old BMW money on the car i just bought

there's never enough power for some...

the roush option is ridiculous, but pricing up exhaust & charger (whipple, pro etc) you probably won't have any change from 20k installed. benefit would be 500kw at the wheels and beyond, cost is no Roush warranty

You could go procharger and an exhaust and come under $15k.

What's wrong with a pro charge
haha that's not my point. I'm saying would you really want to spend the absolute minimum of 15k or would you want to spend a bit more and make sure you have the other parts to complement it
