The FR Borla touring is meant to be quieter than Sport and not a lot more than stock - I'm considering, for the black tips, 30lbs weight saving and to put on a DD... sounds like about the perfect solution for me :)

Even though I swore I wouldn't upgrade my exhaust, lately I've been having thoughts of seeing what its like with a H-Pipe installed. Has anyone had one fabricated? I spoke to an exhaust guy on the weekend, and he reckons its cheap and simple to do, is there anything I should be wary of?

Which one did you get?
Was install hard?

Guess my neighbours will love me coming home at night times...:doh:
Regarding the FRPP Sport cat-back.

Coming home isn't that bad, once the engine is warm you can keep it reasonable in my opinion.

Cold starts, I feel like I'm waking the dead (and all the neighbours) but I just sit there like this

Cruising in 'Normal mode' its nice and deep.... under load (normal driving) its much louder than stock but not obnoxious, in my opinion. While on freeways or like 80+ kmph, cruising you can keep it pretty quiet (again in normal mode)

When you are on it and in 'Sport+', the thing screams....and downshifts are amazing..... its glorious :D

Oh and tunnels are a welcome sight indeed

Yeah I second that, even the Xtreme is easy to control when warm. Cold starts are the worst aspect, I roll out as soon as humanly possible.

Tunnels are great, below 5000rpm. Above that hurts my ears....

Looking forward to the next Sydney meet, I want to hear that Xtreme in person!

Does anyone that has the borla cat back systems or the ford racing by borla systems have trouble getting the rear mufflers / tips level on both sides . I have had a couple goes at it but for some reason the left side alway sits lower ??

I'm having the same issue with my corsa MUS550. I need to get back under there with a torque wrench I think, maybe hit up the gym before hand so I'm a little less weak

Had em perfect last time, then after a while they dropped again

Yeah I seem to get them fairly level and I don't reckon I could get the clamps any tighter, but yeah then it just always drops lower on the left side :frusty:

The tips are never levelled. Not even the stock ones. You can try adjusting them by using the hangers near axle but once you drive the car they will come back to a different position again. We compared it in 3 cars, 2 of them have aftermarket exhaust and one stock.
